PDF thumbnails in Windows Explorer XP
If you have issues about PDF thumbnails not showing in Windows Explorer XP, here’s what to do.
This usually is related to Acrobat Update.
You can try to reinstall the application, but after the update, the problem might occur again.
To solve this please do the following:
Click on START | RUN | CMD Enter
type:
regsvr32 shmedia.dll
regsvr32 shimgvw.dll
You can also open notepad and paste the following code into it:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\Shellex\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@=”{F9DB5320-233E-11D1-9F84-707F02C10627}”
Save it with .reg extension and double click on it
If you still have issues, please leave a comment.
What version of Adobe are you using?

Above is wrong. Should be:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\Shellex\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@=”{F9DB5320-233E-11D1-9F84-707F02C10627}”
