Microsoft finally releases Windows 10 October update…again
Microsoft has finally managed to squash all of the reported bugs that plagued initial Windows 10 October update. At least we hope so 🙂
As you might know, Windows 10 October update was paused and pulled back because many users reported numerous issues with the update.
This time Microsoft published the announcement with a more cautious approach:
On November 13, 2018, we will begin the re-release of the Windows 10 October Update (version 1809), Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server, version 1809. We encourage you to wait until the feature update is offered to your device automatically.
As you can see from the announcement above, Microsoft advises consumers to wait for the update to arrive on their PCs rather than to seek for it manually.
Along with the announcement John Cable, who is a Director of Program Management, Windows Servicing, and Delivery, published a post on Windows blog where he explained issues with the initial rollout of the October update.
Cable also said that if the problem has been detected with consumers PC, like application incompatibility, the update won’t be installed until the issue is has been resolved even if you “Check for updates”. With this approach, Microsoft wants to prevent users from encountering any known problems.
