According to a leak, Windows 11 to get a new Microsoft Defender app

According to the latest leak from Aggiornamenti Lumia, Microsoft will soon deploy an updated version of its popular Microsoft Defender application to Windows 11 users.

As you can see from the leaked picture below, a new and completely redesigned version of Microsoft Defender is still in Preview with the GibraltarApp codename. The new Defender should bring simple, seamless, and more personalized protection for Windows 11 customers.

According to Microsoft,  the security aspect of Windows 11 is taken very seriously which is already proved by Windows 11 requirements that include the need for Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, VBS, and the CPU that supports Mode-based Execution Control.

As you probably know the current version of Microsoft Defender has been migrated from Windows 10 and it’s already causing issues for some Windows 11 users. There’s still no information available on the availability of the new Microsoft Defender for Windows 11, but it will probably first be rolled on to Windows Insiders in the Beta channel.
