During the last couple of days, Facebook data has been breached exposing the personal data of hundreds of millions of Facebook users to the web.
Apparently, over 533 million accounts from 106 countries containing information like full names, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, locations, and similar personal information have been leaked online and posted on one hacking forum.
According to a Facebook spokesman, the data in question is old data that was previously reported back in 2019. The company has fixed that issue in August of 2019. If your Facebook user account still holds the same personal data from 2019, the leaked data is still sensitive.
Thanks to security researcher Troy Hunt users can check if their data has been leaked in any of previous major security breaches including the one from Facebook.
