Several days ago Microsoft announced its new Bing Search engine powered by AI.
The company opened a waitlist and promised to bring the new Bing version to millions of people in the following weeks.
According to Yusuf Mehdi, a corporate vice president at Microsoft, the company received over 1 million sign-ups for the new AI-powered Bing search in just 48 hours.
We're humbled and energized by the number of people who want to test-drive the new AI-powered Bing! In 48 hours, more than 1 million people have joined the waitlist for our preview. If you would like to join, go to https://t.co/4sjVvMSfJg! pic.twitter.com/9F690OWRDm

Apart from the traditional search offering, the new AI-powered Bing chat will provide 1000 characters of space to build complex queries which Bing will then try to answer using a special search-optimized version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Bing chat should be based on the new, still unreleased ChatGPT4.
It appears that Microsoft has already activated the new home page, but still preparing to add all the users from the waitlist, even though this shouldn’t take long now.
If you missed it, the waitlist could still be joined at https://www.bing.com/new.
