Microsoft released Windows 11 update with App changes
Microsoft has just announced the release of a new version of Windows 11, build 25987, currently available to Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel. In this update, Microsoft has decided not to include Windows Maps and Movies & TV apps as pre-installed applications on Windows 11 PCs. If you perform a clean installation of Windows 11 OS using Build 25987, these two apps will not be automatically installed on your PC. However, they can still be installed and updated through the Microsoft Store.
Additionally, during the initial setup process (Out of Box Experience – OOBE), when you’re prompted to connect to a network, there is now an option to install WiFi drivers using the new “Install Drivers” button. This change becomes available when you install the ISO for Build 25977.
Also, there is a new capability in File Explorer to view and edit metadata for PNG files meaning that you can now set a star rating in Properties, edit the description, or add keywords.
Last but not least, Microsoft has updated the settings page for Delivery Optimization, which can be found under Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options > Delivery Optimization. This updated facelift now follows the design of Windows 11.
