News recap: IE is now completely out of support, Milburo acquisition and games for Teams
Internet Explorer finally reached the EOL.
Internet Explorer support finally came to an end on June 15 on Windows 10 devices. Parts of Internet Explorer will remain alive and still be used for IE mode in corporate environments. And even though Microsoft will cease to provide security patches for Internet Explorer, some users will still be sticking to it.
Microsoft is continuously working to bring casual games to the Teams app.
In order to enhance the Teams user experience, Microsoft is continuously working to implement casual games in its popular collaboration app. According to various sources, games for Teams might include Solitaire, Wordament, and Connect 4. The company is currently testing mentioned games internally.
Microsoft still hasn’t confirmed that the aforementioned games will become part of the Teams app, but it would be interesting to see the effect and will it enhance the user experience at all.
Microsoft acquires Milburo company
Microsoft just announced on its blog that the company entered into an agreement to acquire Milburo, cyber threat analysis and research company specialized in the detection of and response to foreign information operations.
According to Microsoft’s corporate vice president of customer Security and Trust, Tom Burt, the company needs Milburo to step in and help to connect current threat detection platforms and improve its abilities to counter new cyber threats.
