<p>Ever since its release in late 2021, Windows 11 is slowly approaching its first fully-featured and significant update. Version 22H2 or codename Sun Valley 2 is the first major update for Windows 11 and if you want to taste it, you should sign-up for the Windows Insider program.</p>

<p>From what we can see, this update is not a complete Windows 11 overhaul but rather it contains a small set of new features along with background improvements.</p>
<p>Among the most interesting new features is the new Task Manager which adopted Microsoft&#8217;s Fluent design system. The new design looks modern and more consistent as it follows the new design of Windows 11.</p>

<p>The new design is also more touch-screen friendly as Windows 11 is more and more making its way to tablets and 2 in 1 notebook. The dark mode is now fully supported and the new virtual design material that&#8217;s been called Mica nicely aligns the windows color scheme so it matches the desktop background.</p>
<p>Along with the new design, Task Manager now has the new Efficiency mode that can be set for individual processes. Efficiency mode allows you to limit system resource consumption for specific programs which can be especially helpful for battery efficiency.</p>
<p>Before joining the Windows Insider program, please be aware that this still is a beta release and it&#8217;s not recommended to be used in production environments.</p>
