The option to move the Windows taskbar on all four sides of the screen is one of the most upvoted requests by Windows 11 customers. No matter that, Microsoft didn’t manage to deliver it to the general public. The Redmond giant said that there were many challenges to making this possible and that the number of users requesting this feature is small compared to the number of users asking for other useful features.
It appears that Microsoft is testing this feature no matter what they said as the Twitter user Albacore (@thebookisclosed) shared a video of the full XAML taskbar located at the top of the Windows 11 screen even though he wasn’t impressed with it.

Seeing the taskbar on the top of the screen might be exciting for users who were waiting and voted for this feature even though it is only available in the Windows 11 Dev build 25309 and early tests like this don’t always appear in the public release.
This change confirms that Microsoft is working actively on Windows taskbar improvements as recently the company added the new Bing logo to Windows 10 and 11 search bar.
