During Microsoft’s Surface event yesterday, the company teased several upcoming features for Windows 11.
One of those features is related to Windows 11 popular app the Snipping Tool which will finally get a native screen recording feature. Before this change, the snipping tool could only be used for taking and editing screenshots. Windows Insiders were asking Microsoft for a native recording feature even before the release of Windows 11 and now the company finally decided to provide one. Until now, Windows users had to use a third-party recording app or the game recorder from the Xbox Game Bar app.
Microsoft did not provide details about the new recording feature for the Snipping tool but we can expect the company to release it along with a handful of new features for Windows 11 during the next couple of weeks. During the same event, Microsoft also announced iCloud Photos integration for Windows 11 native Photos app. This feature was promptly rolled out to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel stream shortly after the event.
