Xbox One X launches worldwide on November 7
During its E3 press conference, Microsoft revealed a project Scorpio that is now named Xbox One X. The new gaming console will become available on November 7th priced at $500. It’s largest competitor PlayStation 4 Pro is currently priced at $400, but Microsoft presented One X console as a premium product to justify its price.
In an interview at Xbox E3 press conference on Sunday night, head of Xbox marketing, Aaron Greenberg said that Microsoft is proud of the pricing. We designed Xbox One X to be a premium product with the most power and performance ever seen in a world of consoles.
Internationally Xbox One X will retail for £449, €499, CA$599, and AU$649. The One X is more powerful than Playstation 4 with 6 teraflops of graphical power while Playstation 4 Pro has 4.2 teraflops. It also includes Ultra HD Blu-ray drive.
With the Xbox One X release, the Xbox One S prices are dropping and it can already be found for $50 less.
Xbox One X includes 4K support that’s coming with the future games. Existing Microsoft games like Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 will also be updated with 4K support.
