My daughter (9rs old) has been wanting a PC for awhile now so I told her she would have to build it, so today she put it together. I had to give her a hand on a couple things but for the most part it was all her. CASE: Cooler Master 430 Elite black (was using for a BTC machine) PSU: Inland 500w Mobo: Gigabyte MA785GMT-UD2H (DDR3) CPU: AMD Phenom X4 945 (stock) RAM: MicroCenter (2X2G) 4G 1333mhz DDR3 (rebranded ADATA Gaming Series) GPU: XFX HD4770 512 (1 of my old GPU's) HDD: WD 160G (spare drive lying around) OPTICAL: LG DVD Burner She did very well and it posted on 1st start up. Unfortunately, she can't retain the names of the parts. LOL. PICTURES

I started BitCoining a few days ago since I could make money running my system. For those of you who don't know what BitCoining is clink on the link. Running my 6850 and 6950 I will generate around 1.85 coins a day, that's around 55 coins a month. The coins are virtual currency that can be sold/traded at anytime. The price of each coin goes up and down like stock. Right now it's at $7.32 a coin so I can earn around $400 a month if I sell. Most people have been holding on to them since the price should be getting higher do to the fact that it is now harder to generate the coins. The government is trying to find away to make this illegal since there is no way to trace the m…

How long will Microsoft support XP? A Good Reason To Be Sure You Update To SP2 I've seen many posts on the Internet by users who still refuse to update to SP2, for whatever reasons--even at this late date of its release. They should know about this... How long will Microsoft support XP? Windows XP has been extremely successful; market research firm IDC estimates that Windows XP (Home and Pro) had a worldwide installed base of 538 million copies at the end of 2006. (Wow!) As long as those XP computers are functional and perform well, users find it difficult to justify the purchase of Vista or a new Vista-based PC. Microsoft Corp.'s support policies reflect this reality. Th…

Intel finds Sandy Bridge chipset design flaw, shipments stopped and recalls. We had to pull all of our mobo's yesterday evening at MicroCenter. To think, I almost thought about getting it.I am glad I am staying true to AMD.

How is everyone doing? I haven't been on much for awhile now. I have been really busy since I stated working, I have also been going to the gym for a few hours a day, 4/5 days a week. I haven't had much time to learn any moding etc. for 7 yet, I spend most of my free time studying hardware and bench marks to help me with my job selling PC parts. I have recently got a G9X mouse, G15 keyboard and a SteelSeries glass mouse pad and have only had maybe 40 hours in gaming time since I got it 2 months ago, so that shows how much time I have. LOL. I still come on here to see whats going on etc. I hope everyone is doing well.

Dear WinCert-user, My submissions (17 and 18#) for the MSI-design contest are up for voting! I would like to ask you to support me in this contest. Please vote for submission 18# thanks http://micro.msi.com/clickbios/vote.php Info on contest: UEFI is the next generation BIOS, no more boring legacy BIOS text screens, but a Graphical User Interface with mouse support and applications. Now MSI is looking for talented designers to give a unique look & feel to the UEFI BIOS. Do you have what it takes to design an interface that matches the next-gen technology? Show us what would make a great Click BIOS interface. I would like to thank you al in advance, please leave a m…

OpenID login methond has been removed from WinCert.net for the reasons mentioned in post on robrohan.com web site: This blog has been having some serious uptime problems, but with our move and starting our new jobs, I haven't had time to look into the problem. At completely random times the server would just spin out of control as if it was under a denial of service attack. I figured it was just someone's home made, badly written spider, and it would just stop – but it kept happening. Finally, I got a chance to sit down and see what might be going on with the box, and it looks like someone – well, several people, actually a lot of people – were using the OpenID plugin on …

The callous souls over at AMD have decided that our little consumer brains aren't sophisticated enough to handle two awesome brands, so they're just axing the use of the ATI moniker from here on out. ARTICAL
