The Microsoft-Apple battle has been raging for ages, and when the iPhone and Microsoft Surface were announced, trolls squirmed with excitement at the prospect of yet another completely different pair of products to compare and bash. So if you're like me, you may find the video below a breath of fresh air. Stimulant, the developer of the sample application, describes it by saying: XRay is a mashup of Microsoft Surface and the iPhone. Stimulant created a Surface application that reveals photographs, but by laying an iPhone on Surface, more layers of imagery are revealed, synced in real time with the upper image layers shown on Surface. The only limit to how many iPhones ca…

One of our private TV's in Croatia has a TV show which is nothing but a pure deception. In the latest show, players had to guess how many triangles has an object shown in the picture..Also, here you can see how many triangles really is in that object and what is the correct answer. OK, correct answer should be 27 right, and if you think this too, you're right, but not here, not on NovaTV, a deceiving Croatian TV, cause they gave us this solution: Apparently there's 71 triangles in that object, so tell me guys, who's insane here??? Tip: Try with pausing the video so you can see how many invalid triangles were bolded in THEIR solution..

Diskeeper Corporation has included automated defragmentation functionality into the next iteration of its flagship application, Diskeeper 2007. The technology, dubbed InvisiTasking, allows system maintenance to run invisibly in the background, and draws on unused system resources in order to perform defragmentation without affecting network performance. The launch of Diskeeper 2007 represents a new step forward for defragmentation, said Diskeeper product manager Michael Materie, because it allows users to "install it and forget it," rather than schedule regular defrag sessions. When Diskeeper first appeared about a decade ago, the product was unique because it allowed …

HD 149026b is a sweltering 3,700 degrees Fahrenheit, so hot that astronomers believe it is absorbing almost all of the heat from its star, and reflecting very little to no light. Curious hot and cold spots, indicating the presence of roaring winds faster than the speed of sound, adorn the first weather "map" of a planet orbiting a nearby star. A team of astronomers Wednesday unveiled the map of the planet, labeled HD 189733b, that orbits scorchingly close to a star 63 light-years away. The angle of the orbit allows astronomers to see its passage in front of its star every 2.2 days. "The real surprise is how well we did in seeing these features," says lead researcher Heath…

Now XP is really old, most of have vista or 7 in their PC. I was thinking of making XP Transformation Pack and later i thought it is will be useless because most of have vista or 7 so what i am thinking is, making Windows 7 Replacement(my previous win7 based transformation pack for xp) open source. I believe its working process is same in Vista as well as 7 only file to be modified is different and 256x256 px icon is needed. If it's code is made open source interested can make their own transformation pack instead of distributing modified dll & exe file which caused lots of system incompatibility. I need your opinion on this. If it is made open source many will invol…

I'm thinking about domain name change since this site was planned to be about Windows Certification and turned to be Tech News Site with IT Support Forums.. It crossed my mind to change it to WinTechs.org or at least to something similiar.. I'd like your suggestions for a new domain name. Description for this and new domain is "Tech News and IT Support Forums" Also, I've created a poll so all of you can vote and show what you think about this..
