Hi,

I had a quick browse through the forum and couldnt find anything relating to this. I have noticed that after installing the update pack that Desktop Search isnt running. It is installed however its not indexing which means Outlook 2007 is having trouble.

Is there some fix that I should be doing to make it operational?

Please let me know.

In the event that the service of windows desktop search not started, Run... %SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %SystemRoot%\inf\OPMWXPUP.inf

however, and recommended to use the new pack v2.3.1 where they made many improvements.

Hello wazh, now review again what has been translated by google hmmmm (unfortunately also google or online translators sometimes does not help)

is not the problem of update pack, but something has not gone well in recent integration have done that then maybe a file. INF is not updated properly, so we as know if a file. INF has a problem (does not allow or the installation. INF other), then neither the INF file was installed to depart from sysoc.inf not installed

everything must be done from the start, given a CD of winxpsp3 clear, if problems arise again, try to use RVMi to integrate update pack

sorry again for my English

Ciao.

will do from scratch later today.

Will advise.

Ok new xp sp3 files copied across.

Did everything from scratch.

Same result.

No Internet Explorer etc. It appears not to have integrated correctly. Were you able to test?

Hello is there anyway someone could re post "OnePiece_Windows_XP_Post-SP3_UpdatePack_v2.3.0_ENU" my backup hd messed up and i lost that addon thanks for your help guys

Posted (edited)

Hi all & especially to "Onepiece" & others that do all the hard work creating these addons & other ...

I used the following steps to customize my own Windows XP:

- Removed items (just basic stuff) using Nlite on original clean XP SP3 source.

- addded OnePiece Windows XP Post-SP3 UpdatePack v2.4.1 ENU with Nlite.

- Used RVM Integrator 1.6.1b2.1 with all the current posted Removal addons on this threads first post.

- Used RVM Integrator 1.6.1b2.1 & added ...Stimpy_JD976_DotNetFx_3in1_Addon_v2.2 (includes DotNet 2, 3 & 3.5)

- Used DPs_BASE v8.12.4 & added newest Driverpacks from Driverpacks.net

-Used Nlite to make the .ISO.

After installing it runs great except...I noticed in System Services that .NET Runtime Optimization Service v2.0.50727_X86 (manual) was installed. My question: Should this be there ? If so, should it be set to automatic ?

Also ..any tips from any forum experts here on correct order sequence or other I might be doing wrong ?

Hello Javv, in Windows 7 and Manual, I believe to be so even in Vista and XP, for this to do with Stimpy_JD976_DotNetFx_3in1_Addon_v2.2 and not with the Update Pack

Ciao.

Thanks for the quick reply ...

I noticed on my XP install that Dotnet 1.1 (which is included in your UpdatePack v2.4.1 addon) is not (this is what I wanted) installed ...is this because I used the Remove_NETFX1.1SP1_MDX_AddOn or other.

Hello Javv, clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32 the install or need only dotnet2 -3 -3.5, dotnet1 not install or has to do with this service

Update Pack Seemed to be buggy !

Tried to integrate the pack over 10 times with different machine same problem arrises !

The problem is that No Ie .. Ie gone ..

Despite of installing Ie8 ?? ??

Quick Launch Gone ?? Desktop GOne ??

Why so ?? Any Solution yet ?

Integrating with Nlite !

I cannot understand why you people are using old .net ?? when .net 3.5 sp1 is there ??? Why do not he integrate this to main pack ??????

Posted (edited)

Ouch ! The Update packs above 2.0 contains many bugs and problems !! :confused02:

here are some to list !! :thumbsdown_anim:

What's this problem all about I cannot understand !!

Error ?? Why so ?? :crying_anim02:

Two WMP ? What FOr ??

Two windows media player ?? Eh what for ?? Never seen this problem before ??

Same old story two ie ?? wondering why old one is still intact ?

How to say bye to old ie ?

used xable and rayaan update pack ..

Directly slipstreamed both ie 8 and wmp .. Not seeing such problem with that ?? THe old one pieces too does not have these problems !

Wooo 2 MB Files need 90 mb installation space .. strage .. man

Man powershell is only >2 MB in size 90 mb of installation does not make any sense !

The worst !!

Powershell needs atleast .net 2.0 but there is no such integration !

Then why there is powershell to waste whopping 90mb space ???

Anyanswer to these problem ?

All over too much workdone !! :sweatingbullets:

link contains the pic for the problems !!

Posted (edited)

all the links you posted do not indicate problems or error ????????????????????, all that is there is as need is perfect, powershell 2 Mb noooo :D;)

only the link first indicates that a file is missing signature, the windows are logically requires you to install this file or not, but there is error

integrates update pack with nLite or RVMi in a cd cleaner winxpsp3, and will be Ok

Ciaooo ;)
