Dear Wincert members! I just joined Rosetta@Home: description below Rosetta@home needs your help to determine the 3-dimensional shapes of proteins in research that may ultimately lead to finding cures for some major human diseases. By running the Rosetta program on your computer while you don't need it you will help us speed up and extend our research in ways we couldn't possibly attempt without your help. You will also be helping our efforts at designing new proteins to fight diseases such as HIV, Malaria, Cancer, and Alzheimer's - Rosetta@home I thought it would be an excellent idea if some of us could create an WinCert team for this project, and help out a good cause, and possibly help bring traffic to the site? This is just a thought but if we could help by bringing our computer resources to them, it would be a huge help, with positive benefit for us also. Mabye alittle FRIENDLY competition??? You should have the "how to" doc at manufacturer's web site. As for the downgrade of BIOS, I must admit that I never did this, but I think you should be able to do that without any problems. Backup is usually saved at the same floppy disk where you'll have old or new BIOS version.

I don't have any other clue except this But please backup your BIOS before updating it..

Vista Basic doesn't support Aero. You've probably find an alternate way of runing Aero on Vista Home Basic. I have Vista business on my laptop and Aero isn't turned off when I switch to battery power, although Aero is draining battery preety fast. Apparently there's a fix for this issue, but I haven't tried it: http://www.wincert.net/index.php?option=co...5&Itemid=42

It sounds like you need a BIOS update. Many PCs need a BIOS update to support it properly. Not sure though if that would fix the issue.

Everything seems OK here. Very strange..At some point you can select not to ask for a driver installation for this device..
