  5. Mate, try to switch the RAM modules, can you tell me which brand you're using (2GB DDR2 6400 RAM). Maybe it's incopatible with your MBO..
  6. You can do it by booting the Ultimate Boot CD and using Darik's Boot and Nuke Tool on it.. Ultimate Boot CD
  7. I noticed that the second one is for the system try applet, but haven't tried to remove the gadgets, I removed the sidebar and now Vista is working much better. TBH I had only few gadgets ( RSS reader, Live Messenger Contacts and weather gadget ).

  9. Yes it's probably dual DDR memory. Try to put the two memory modules in two slots with the same color. Probably 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 slots..
  10. You've probably run it from the temp folder while the files were in .rar First extract contents of the rar file in some folder, for example C:\Program Files\Vista Drive Indicatior and run the exe file from there. You shouldn't have problem after that..
  11. I'm so frustrated with this WOW Vista OS.. I have: P4 3,2 GHz 1GB Kingston HyperX DDR400 Asus P4 C-800 Deluxe GeForce 6600 GT 2 SATA Hard disks in RAID0 Mode.. Could someoone please explain why do I have 2 Sidebar processes while runing that stupid Vista sidebar. One of them is taking 28 MB and the second 36 MB of my system memory. Also, very often that same Vista WOW Sidebar takes 50% of my CPU time.. I'm so frustrated that I'm one step from returning back to XP. I'll leave the famous WOW for some other people with milder temper..
  12. Take your favorite flag or icon, whatever. I picked the Irish Flag. Make the flag its own layer. Use the optical selecting tool and make a perfect circle in the middle of the flag. You should get this. Apply this inner shadow to the flag. Adjust to the your document size. Create a new layer. Select outside the circle using the magic wand and select>inverse. Take the gradient tool. Set it up to white to transparent. Draw from top down. You want to transform is so its like below. Now make a new layer. Choose black to white gradient. Make a vertical gradient. Black on top and white on the bottom. Make sure this layer is the under the white to transparent oval layer but above everything else. Set it to overlay. You're done.! 13. Did this started to happen right after you've installed windows, or after you've installed drivers or apps. Another question would be, what kind of PSU do you have, I see you have 550W PSU, but that doesn't have to mean "pure power" of it. It could be memory also, try using only one module (1GB), just for a test, so we can see what happens then..
  14. Why bother clicking on the icon in the Quick Launch when you could just hit alt and a number ? Heres what you do to make probably the quickest shortcuts on your system: 1) Enable the Quick Launch Toolbar 2) Now arrange the Icons of programs of your choice (to add just drag and drop them in the toolbar) in any order. 3) Pay attention to the numerical order of the icons 4) Now this shortcut works by pressing Winkey+(1,2,3,etc.) 5) The numerical arrangment is from first to last in your toolbar 6) So say Internet Explorer is first, Hit Winkey+1 and it will come up Enjoy!
