Avast is very good IMHO, but I never used Windows Defender, but guessing it's alright too. The best antispy app that I've tried was Spyware Doctor. It can found spyware that adaware and spybot will pass.. Try to scan with it..

Hmm, seems like a spyware/virus problem to me..Looks like some registry keys are "taken over" by some spyware or adware. First, can you tell me which antivirus software do you use? Do you use any anti spyware apps? I'd suggest to clean up your computer from any virus or spyware and then run the attached file. No problem skorch. The thing is, if shoutbox gets active, your shout will soon dissapear from it since only 15 shouts are visible, and only 5 of them on the main page. So, most of the people probably won't see your problem.

This problem happens when the default application which is assigned for .xml files i replaced with another one (which is trying to downlod help files, obviously). Attached reg key will restore default values in your registry. Hope that helps. Fix_Help_and_Support.reg

Here it is Racker, I saved you time for registering on that forum.. Here`s a compiled autoit script to extract hotfixes. Just drap the update onto the .exe and it`ll extract the files to a folder in the same dir as the hotfix. HFExtract_ENG.exe

I was thinking to put clouds in the background which would be barely seeable and some Forum Titles with a small logo for each of them, melting with the clouds ..

How long is this happening? I haven't noticed any problems with Live Messenger or Internet Explorer 7 regarding this issue. I don't know how do you mean to go to old Hotmail version, how will you do that??

I see more than 17 accounts validating for WinCert membership. Most of these accounts are registered using yahoo.com and hotmail.com mails. There's a great posibillity that validation accounts are automatically sent to your spam or junk folder. So I would ask all of our new members who didn't receive validation mail, to check their spam folder.. Thx.
