Well, I knew I couldn't compete with the connection speeds in USA.. :crying_anim02:

Just made a test of my connection speed and decided to make a topic here so we can compare our speeds. Speed can be tested at SpeedTest.net web site. Once tested you can copy the code from the lower part of the page and post it here.. I'm using ADSL connection from T-Com provider in Croatia and I got this:

Nice post prx, (almost said cyg, LOL).. TBH, I've never thought about battery life, since I'm using port replicator at home and at work, which means, myl aptop is constantly connected to power supply. Laptop is nearly new and the battery is still preety good. But in some cases, when I'm working on battery power, Vista is draining power from the battery, unlike WinXP. Maybe I could test my battery now with Windows Vista installed and post results here.. I've also put this poll at our portal page..

OMG, again no luck. I get the following message: "All download slots assigned to your country (Croatia) are currently in use. Please try again in a few hours or install the Megaupload Toolbar for immediate access - with the toolbar installed, there are no more slot limitations for you!" During Acrobat Reader 8.0 on Windows Vista you may get this error message: "The temp folder is on a drive that is full or is inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have write permission on the Temp folder." What you need to do is leave the error message open when it comes up, then fire up an Explorer window and go to: C:/Users//appdata/LocalLow/Netopsystems/temp/ Copy the Acrobat Reader 8.0 folder to some other folder, and run the installer from there.

This registry tweak sets the AFD buffer to 1024. Setting this value in the Vista registry increases the number of messages sent before flow control is imposed. This increases throughput speed some (not bandwidth) and helps out with browsing etc.... vista_reg_tweaks.zip
