  1. Hi guys, I need a 2.5" drive for my Popcorn Hour Media Player. This drive will be used for ext3 (Linux) file system and only for watching my backed-up Blu-ray movies (.mkv) I currently have Seagate Green at 5900 (16MB or 32MB cache), I'm not sure.. This disk is too loud when watching movies with low volume, so I need a quiet and cool disk. The speed shouldn't make a difference for my needs, but I'm wondering is there a huge difference between 8MB and 16MB cache sizes, especially for this purpose? HDD Mobile SEAGATE Momentus 5400.6 (2.5",500GB,8MB,Serial ATA II-300) HDD Mobile SEAGATE Momentus 7200.4 (2.5",500GB,16MB,Serial ATA II-300) According to this review, Seagate Momentus 7200.4 is more silent than his slower brother at 5400.6 ??? http://www.silentpcreview.com/article992-page1.html The price difference between these two models is around $7.
  2. I'm guessing that same can be achieved by adding the /PAE switch to boot.ini file, but using /PAE switch will not address more than 3.2GB of RAM in the same manner as 64-bit Operating System does. http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/system/platform/server/pae/paedrv.mspx
  3. That IP is not the IP address of the PC, that is an IP of the router. Post screenshots from both PC when you try to access one PC from another. I want to see what are you trying to do when you get access denied message.
  4. OK, please provide steps on what you've done so far. On which PC have you created a home network, have you used the same password on the second PC? Which IP addresses these two PC's use?
  5. How's WinCert.net working for you guys now? Everything OK for the past couple of days? Nik
  6. That's good. I've found out that several people were unable to connect this whole week (from the move) no matter what I did. Hopefully, everyone is able to access wincert now. Thanks for the info Rick.
  7. How's now, we've flushed firewall rules now. I kindly ask all of you for patience as I had to move wincert.net to another server to keep it alive. We will find a solution although this situation is very annoying for our users.
  8. I will go crazy with this server. I'll have to speak with my host.
  9. What about now?
  10. Ok, try now, but I can't figure out why your IP address was blocked

    Hello to all

Welcome st3v3, hopefully you'll become an active member
  12. OK, what is your IP that is blocked?
  13. Hi luis, please report as soon as you loose access to wincert so we can check it out. Firewall is automatically blocking all suspicious requests like IP addresses that have more than 100 open connections.
  14. I will check it out, thanks for reporting. Sorry for the trouble.
  15. The Firewall is configured to automatically blacklist IP's that have more than 40 connections to our site. If you'll be unable to access wincert in the future, please contact me at admin[at]wincert.net Regards, Nik
  16. Hello guys, due to our high server expenses, I was forced to move Wincert to a cheaper server. Apparently my friend has blocked a lot of IP's on the firewall and I guess that this is the issue here. I have already contacted him and you should be able to access Wincert in a while. Please give me feedback if it will work. Regards. Nik
  17. Try this commands regsvr32 shmedia.dll regsvr32 shimgvw.dll or check this topic http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/topic/6276-how-to-enable-video-thumbnails/

    USB Stick 16GB

WOW, they probably won't ship to Croatia. Also, I don't have any USB 3.0 ports on my MBO, although when I was buying this PC, I could go with one USB 3.0 port, but that MBO was too expensive..
  19. ROFL, Rick you're crazy
