Of course I did, but as it is stated on official pages of IBM, BIOS password for that server can't be reset. If you forget it, you can only replace the MBO. I can't find the link, but it's somewhere on IBM pages..

o Pre-install tasks (turn on IBM machine) o Update IBM BIOS for the Server o IBM Update Express o IBM RAID Update and Configuration v9.0 o Set RAID 5 field with one hot spare disk The smart act itself - During the boot hit F1 to enter BIOS setup - Go to System Security and choose to set up

Welcome to the forums, but please do not use such topics in the future. You don't have to bold and put the largest font size available on the forum just because you need something. As you can see, you're not the only one here Until you wait for your reply, please read the forum rules to avoid trouble in the future.. Cheers.

I think not, as hacker breached the whmcs software which doesn't contain forum user information. I can't be 100% positive, but I would say no.

Well, I already started to make backups more often, now in daily manner Not an easy and quick task, about 500MB in zip file

LOOOL Scrat, I like your images, even now when it's 1:00 am and I should work in the morning I'm still investigating around wincert.. No, actually it was deleted as a result of a successful hack of our host's WHMCS software. As they have seen from the logs your site was the only affected. A new administrator was created with the user 'WHMCS' and then WinCert.net was terminated from within whmcs from IP 78.129.128.154. It looks like a vulnerability in whmcs script also in line with the recent 3.5.1 security issues of that software. But I really don't understand why would anyone hack a friendly site like wincert? Or am I missing something?

Thx mona, I remember this topic before the downtime..

Hmm, x64 XP should allocate whole 4 gigs, but if not you can change the way of RAM allocation by editing the boot.ini file. At the end of the line you should add /PAE switch.

Dear members and guest of WinCert.net, in the last two days Wincert.net was offline due to a security breach on our hosting server. During that time our site was offline while our host was investigating this issue. Unfortunately, we have a backup that is one week old, so all new member accounts and posts that were created during the past week are lost. Hopefully, we'll get on track very quick and will forget this incident. I'm also inviting members which have lost their accounts to register again. Please accept our sincere apologies for this server downtime. If you experience any issues please let us know. Kind regards, WinCert.net Administration Team

Atsaunier is working on another skin for us, that will be even better match with the frontpage..Hopefully it will be finished soon.. Scrat, if possible, can you finish those flags so I can use them once the new skin is released.. I agree with AltF4 that the forum should look good and that's why I bought the i-tab classic skin before, but that skin wasn't accepted well by most of our members because a lot of people don't like i-tab style or because that skin is to "heavy", which means modem users have big difficulties loading that skin.. With the new skin we're planning to give the board more unique look with the frontpage and also a hyper speed Reason why we're not using the vista glass skin is because a lot of sites already are using something similar, and we want to be different, right

If you're unable to use Windows installer either to install or to uninstall an app. and get the message like "Windows installer service could not be accesed.....". If you already tried to install Windows installer 3.1 (v2) and it still didn't work., you can do the following: You may have to do a Dynamic Reinstall, to do this you will need your system disc. Reboot the computer and insert your system disc, be sure to change the boot order in BIOS to CDROM as the first boot device. When the first installation screen appears choose the install option. This will take you to a second screen that informs you that an operating system already exists. In this second screen choose the Repair option. This will start a process of repair that involves the servers in Redmond. It may take a bit but when it is finished the missing files should be restored, and your desktop and files will all still be in place. Remember to enter BIOS and restore your former settings when the PC reboots. Source: ExtremeTech

Watch from 1.21 Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. But I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey, and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it'll never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived. - Jean Luc Picard One of the best quotes I've heard
