  1. Turn off SmartScreen: http://www.howtogeek...r-in-windows-8/ SmartScreen is the thing that tells Microsoft what you've installed, downloaded, etc...
  2. 1. That sucks, although i hardly use them anyway 2. I'm pretty sure that's illegal (Data Protection Act UK), i'm behind a 2048bit VPN encryption anyway, so that makes no difference to me either. Apparently it would take 1 million years for a super computer to decrypt it At first i hated it because of the Metro, Metro is not good on desktops and it's definitely not good on laptop (touchpads). I've gotten used to it now and once i've sorted what icons i want on the main metro screen i've come to like it. I don't use any of the metro apps and remove them and another downside is when installing new applications about 5 icons get added to the metro screen. But yeah, i have my metro screen nice an organized with a start menu from Classic Shell. I love the way i have it setup.
  3. Hey, glad to see your still alive and kicking
  4. No, the majority, if not all of those changes are made to the install.wim.
  5. Does you install work without an unattended file? I'm not sure if it can be removed, worse case scenario is you can just extract a new boot.wim from an iso and just replace that file.
  6. What Windows are you integrating the unattended file to? WinVista, Win7 or Win8? Is it possible you can attach the unattended file? But please remember to change serial keys or personal information to XXXXX.
  7. Yes, if i remember correctly some MSP files had the same file name.
  8. Will do, thanks. EDIT: Done.
  9. I meant the actual filepaths i.e. C:\Office\KBxxxxx.exe C:\Office\KBxxxx2.exe Extracting to: C:\Users\Liam\Desktop\OfficeUpdates\*.* C:\Users\Liam\Desktop\WinToolkit.exe UPDATE: I'm going to make a guess that the filepath for the office updates have a space in them? i.e. D:\Office Updates\KBxxxxxx.exe UPDATE2: Replicated the issue and fixed it
  10. Oops thanks for that, fixed.
  11. Just out of curiousity, where are the files location (as in the filepath) and where are you trying to save them too.
  12. I will investigate once I'm back from the shops. EDIT: Works fine for me when extracting Office 2010 SP1 (officesuite2010sp1-kb2460049-x86-fullfile-en-us.exe). Which Office file was you using? Preferably with a link?
  13. Thanks. If you have any other questions, just ask
  14. yeah you can simply paste over it without even opening Win Toolkit, deleting it wouldn't cause a single error however it obviously won't be installed
  15. The issue making it not appear in add/remove programs has been fixed, or is there another issue with this addon? UPDATE: The addon won't work in x64 because the creator has put it in x86 mode only. Open the .WA file with 7zip and drag the tasks.txt to your desktop. open the txt file with notepad and remove the ! so 'Arc=x86!' becomes just 'Arc=x86' Save the txt file and drag it back into the 7zip window and save it. It should now work on x64 versions UPDATE 2: v71 will say why an addon has not been added.
  16. Just simply add the updated version and it should replace it. You can't remove addons but you can certainly write over the top of them.
  17. I no longer have the code anymore, i think i got rid of it years ago, it's available via google if you look in the right places. Sorry.
  18. Did you install from USB/DVD and then remove the device before first login?
  19. It's not a bug, I'm guessing McRip cancelled an upload or is still in the process of uploading a bunch of new updates. However in v70 i've made Win Toolkit hide these. I'm releasing v70 which a big bunch of fixes.
  20. I haven't investigated this issue yet, it doesn't happen to everyone. Update: Fixed.
  21. I take that as a compliment You had the right to post a bug in that topic as you started it (if i remember correctly) but then other users dumped there bugs into it as well but it's not the end of the world.
  22. During v65, Win Toolkit had uploaded lots of bug reports. At the moment i have 22 log files which have been split into 16 different bugs and they look to be pretty important bugs as well. I'm not having a go or anything, but i would just like to remind you that this isn't Star Wars, i won't sense a disturbance in the force when a bug appears and please please please please please report bugs otherwise they won't get fixed. For those who do report bugs, i would like to say a massive thank you! Known Bugs / Need Further Information 'Collection is read only.' in All-In-One Integrator 'The system cannot find the file specified' exporting image in WIM Manager 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' when loading AIO Integrator 'Could not take ownserhip' in Component Removal 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' when integrating update Fixed Bugs File missing when copying cab file in Update Retriever 'Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.' during Tools Manager (main form) 'Index was out of range.' in Component Remover Could not load file or assembly 'Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary' in Addon Maker 'Unable to save as JPG.' during logon background tweak 'Attempted to read or write protected memory.' in Tools Manager (main form) 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' when integrating silent installer Error copying file in AIO Integrator > Files tab if no file extension added to 'Save To' path. These all seem like crucial bugs and i'm surprised no one has reported them. I'll try and fix them ASAP. DO NOT REPORT BUGS IN THIS TOPIC!
  23. 1. Well not double amount of time, but it will take longer i.e. an extra 1 min, 10 mins, etc.. as it will have more files to copy. I've never really timed it if i'm honest. 2. I think some people say it does retain the drivers, which will mean your installs are larger. 3. Well it's a lot quicker just to simply copy and paste the entire driver folder to a folder on the root of a DVD, yeah you manually have to install the drivers but it saved A LOT of time during the integration part as it won't have any drivers to do. If i did make an AIO disk with drivers i would only integrate WLAN, LAN and possibly chipset drivers only. Graphics, sound and the rest drivers i would do manually. 4. I agree it's amazing how they compress 200GB into a 6GB WIM file. But yes, some people complain about it taking so long to integrate drivers when they have selected 1000s from their driver packs and then they select more than one image at a time. I tend to only reply to the sentences ending with a '?', so if you want to know the specifics then ask directly. I tend to look for the question marks and reply to those. 5. Yes i make a 'Drivers' folder on the root of the setup DVD and just copy and paste the driver packs into there. The only part of Win Toolkit i don't use is Drivers, i actively use the rest. I just don't have '4 days' to wait for it to do drivers and i personally don't mind doing the stuff manually. Remember though, A LOT of the features in Win Toolkit where actually requested by other users so don't be surprised if I, the developer, don't use a specific part of the tool (like drivers). Everyone is different. If for example I'm making a disc for a specific PC i.e. sisters, parents, friends or my own then i do tend to integrate drivers for that specific machine. The only thing i don't do with drivers is integrate 1000s of drivers which won't be used. Yeah, that's a good idea. They seem to be the most important ones.
  24. Don't select a preset, just press 'Continue - Skip' and just add that one addon on it's own. Should take like 5-10 mins depending on your system. Definitely no need to start fresh
