The issue wasn't about showing dates. If you had a file ABC.msp (v5000) and there was a ABC (v5004) on the server then Win Toolkit did not detect that and marked it as if the user already had the update, even though it was out of date. Win Toolkit now compares the date of the existing file downloaded and the date on the server to see if a newer v5004 exists.
I agree but people add them anyway even without knowing what they are doing Ok thanks, i've just sent you a link with some updates. How does the scanning work? Just curious, feel free to PM me that answer
Thanks, i will add them all to the exceptions list so they will be installed after Windows installation. EDIT: It might be worth making a small readme.txt file in the VPC folder to warn users of this issue
Unfortunately, there are too many checks which are needed when selecting a folder. You can however just edit the settings.txt before opening Win Toolkit.
Great, you'll get a message in the next 5 mins or so with a link EDIT: Actually i'll release it publicly, don't see why not. http://www.mediafire.com/?exk67qni7xe0j65 EDIT 2: Updated the link.
Fixed the issue, Win Toolkit now checks if the file date on the server is newer than the file itself. I have more normal Win7 updates now as apparently some on the server are newer than the ones i have, i.e. IE9, changelog and about 20 other updates. Just need a tester to make sure it works
Probably not but some people will moan if i don't include it. I also find it very useful so i can see how Win Toolkit has progressed since i first started.
I earned $11 in the last 14 days, i prob won't even spend the money and it'll just sit in my paypal account for me to donate (most likely to wincert). ADF.LY gives me useful statistics such as what links are clicked. For example, a lot more people download the Windows 7 SP1 Disk than i thought. Driverpacks and Addons are popular too. I'm not really in this for a financial gain but no-one is going to turn down free money.
