Win Toolkit already does patch uxtheme files, if I remember correctly it patches them straight after installation. Really can't remember, i'll have to check it's method. EDIT: Yeah it add a RunOnce value in the registry so after installation the theme files get patched silently.

Just an update Win Toolkit has been downloaded 100,000 times using 100GB worth of data lol!
-
Yeah i've sent an 'update report' for v19
-
I aim to release a version to fix the sorting bug and possibly any other issues I may find.
-
I haven't been able to solve the MSU to CAB Converter bug mostly because I can't replicate, just make sure not to delete any of the DLLs which get created when opening W7T. The silent installer issue has been fixed in v19.
-
I've confirmed this issue and it's easy to replicate, i've made this a priority but again it will take a while to fix.
-
I think the only time it matters is when you're integrating updates and removing features/components (i.e. vLite). You will have to integrate updates first. With drivers it does not matter.

v19 released, anyone tested it yet?

Hmm, all the other articles seem to have 1,000+ views, then one next to Win Toolkit has 31,000+ views. For some reason WinToolkit is only getting 400+

I have a problem with the 'Moderator CP'. If I go onto the Win Toolkit forum and click 'Moderator CP' at the very very top left I get errors.
-
You don't integrate them into the image, you add them to an 'Updates' folder with your Office setup source i.e. "Z:\Software\Office 2010\x86\Setup.exe" "Z:\Software\Office 2010\x86\Updates\*.msp" <<< go in Updates folder.

Fixed all the issues with MSI and MSU files. EDIT 1:Also if the user (you) don't specify a switch/syntax for msi files the RunOnce will automatically add '/passive /norestart' EDIT 2: If there is a /forcerestart or /norestart in the specified switch it will change them to '/norestart' and if restart option is not specified then it will auto add /norestart

Thanks for the link, i'm guessing Softexia is a popular website?
-
compstuff does it fly through ALL of the installations? I'm testing the RunOnce issue now and it only seems to affect MSU files for me, although i have made some changes.
-
I've explained further in the PM you sent me, Win Toolkit will only reboot if it detects a certain program/script being ran after Windows installation. For me to mention the name of that program/script would break forum rule #1

Thanks for the test 3 questions 1. Do your silent installers work? 2. Do your msu files work? Seems like a no 3. Do your other installers work (none silent with syntax/switches)?
-
I focused on one because I have used many updates with the EXE to MSP Converter and they all worked fine, KB2553111 is the only file which i've seen your mentioned problem so I assumed it was a one off. EDIT 1: Seems to be a common problem with Office 2003 updates, do you have the names of any other updates it affects? EDIT 2: Fixed this so it works with all 2003 updates, however please still list a few other updates it had affected just for testing purposes.

That's done by design, some people are stupid enough to select a drive root and then wonder why all there files have been deleted. Again done by design, some people use the same temp folder for all of their programs and it becomes messy. Glad it now saves, so the original bug has been fixed.
-
In the error box it should had displayed more info, is it possible you can post it if the problem happens again?
-
Just saw your last post but it only mentions .msu files and no other files (which aren't already silent).
-
Might as well try 18 if you haven't started the process yet, however when it comes to SFX it won't make a difference. Thanks

The only time WinKit reboots if it detects that another program wanted to reboot the computer in the first place, can't go into full details as it would break the forum rules.

Thanks, ill have a look now. Just to confirm... silent installers work fine but anything else doesn't? Or is the problem just with MSU files? Also no one has described what actually happens, does it skip the install? is the install not silent? any error messages? EDIT: After the install there should be a '"WinKit_RunOnceLog.txt' in the System32 folder.
