  1. Your now an alpha tester, you should see a conversation called 'Sneak Peak v1.4.0' in your messages (top-right). At the moment your 'fumbling & mumblings' is what i need, i'm serious about making this tool easier for new users. Hopefully the new version should be easier for you. I've added a lot more tooltips and changed some to make them sound less confusing. This is just a hobby for me to learn whilst i'm doing Software Development at Hull University, yeah i do like to try and keep up-to-date. For example, someone said in the request forum that the DVDs created via ISO Maker could not boot on UEFI computers, so i added that support. Until then i didn't know it needed a separate process At the minute it, Component Remover just uses the DISM feature, also i've experimented and some options like speech i have used the vLite method, i plan to move to the vLite method completely which will reduce images even further. But yeah, W7T is basically a 'front' for DISM, Imagex, etc.. Well if you have a specific question about how A is better than B, then i'll gladly answer it. Ah yeah i know what you mean, for those components which use vLite method, you will notice is has the size next to it, like Speech and Natural Language says 590MB, i plan on doing this to as many as i can. Any help is appreciated at the end of the day, anything you guys come up with to make things easier and/or better benefits everyone really.
  2. PM Sent, only have room for 5 more users
  3. Yep i remember saying that 3 months ago, but i think the tool was only BETA then. When i release v1.4.0.1 i will be doing the guides, i am actively working on that version right now. So the next update is when i will be doing the guides, so hopefully within a week. Until then i'm sure that if you ask how to do this or that, then someone will reply and help you. Secondly, RT7Lite has smaller image sizes because they delete the actual files whilst W7T removes them using the not-so-official Microsoft (DISM) method which to be honest is crap but less buggy. However v1.4.0 (which is being worked on now) will use a new method (like vLite) to remove the files therefore creating smaller images. Also right now, i have a great alpha tester teams testing v1.4.0 and most importantly i am asking for feedback to make the tool easier for people who have not used the tool before, that is my MAIN focus for the 1.4.0.1 release. I've already made progress and if you wish to be an alpha tester then just send me a PM and you'll get what i have so far, but more importantly get to give feedback and how it can be easier and less confusing.
  4. So you mean adding 2 folders to the ISO?
  5. Glad it's now working
  6. OK, i've added the option for Normal and Force, this request is finished (again )
  7. Yeah i've renamed it the topic to show v1.4.0 If you want to be an Alpha test then please send me a Personal Message. The things i hope to get from feedback are: GUI recommendations How to make things easier for beginners Just suggestions in general Changes to Tooltips Any error messages which use the old style. Bugs should go in a new topic and requests should go in the request forum. However if you want me to make a slight edit to anything in the 1st post then you can post it here, but anything big then then i will move it to the request forum for you P.S. Just in case you missed my edit on the first post, i've added UEFI support in ISO Maker.
  8. Was that asking for help and how to do that?
  9. Thanks for the feedback, any suggestions guys? So shall i call this v1.4.0?
  10. 1) Thanks 2) Thanks 3) It's on the sidebar, the button with the picture of a home, "Visit the W7T Forum' 4) I'm assuming for the buttons on the main form? 5) That's what i was aiming for Glad you like it
  11. I haven't received a log, assuming you're using v102. I will be creating the guides once i release the final version.
  12. Anyone else? not really getting much feedback
  13. Would be nice if you could confirm that this issue it fixed?
  14. I have no idea to be honest, i never use media updates.
  15. Yes. Although some addons do add silent installers.
  16. Bump, making this quite high importance too. EDIT: Done...
  17. by default, why would you like an option? There's no harm in doing it by force all the time.
  18. Not going to do this request as i'd rather fix the problem which is causing the drivers being reported as wrong architecture rather than hide the issue.
  19. Thank you, this will come in useful when i start to properly do requests Bump
  20. Everyone please check the first post, i've updated 'Update Installer' and 'Driver Installer' with some very useful features.. EDIT: Do you think i should call this v1.4.0 instead?
  21. Since v98 i have fixed an issue which may have caused your issue.
  22. The corrupt message is usually caused because it was unable to unmount properly, if you have have a folder within the mount location open whilst it is unmounting, it will not discard fully, this can also be caused by running other tools such as RT7Lite at the exact same time as W7T. It does the whole log thing automatically so you don't need to rename stuff. It shouldn't overwrite it but be added to it, if your log is missing look for files starting with "Uploaded_" which means i should have it, and i remember receiving a log about this, i get quite a few of them. P.S. What is the name of your computer? I will check if i have a error log.
  23. It currently does not have a feature to view currently installed drivers, i could two tab pages (New and Installed) which will allow you to remove any driver in the lists. Potentially this can also be done to Update Installers. Depends on what you think about that idea? EDIT 1: Just added this feature to Update Installer, looks nice and a lot easier to implement than i thought. EDIT 2: It works great too. EDIT 3: Done Drivers, closing thread again...
