Simpuhl, I tried your installer and it keeps adding v10.1.0 to my system so I decided to do my own in the same manner you created yours and damn mine also installs 10.1.0... I am totally confused on this...

It seems that McRip must have changed his files again because I show them all as needing to be downloaded again plus I am getting errors from the Additional folder. He should also make a change to his folder structure since the WU_Satisfy/ folder is outside the x64/ directory the WinToolKit doesn't recognize it and download the updates.

Hmm.... I just checked and it says: [Your comment is awaiting moderation and will be posted shortly.] All I said regarding the article and RT7Lite was "That’s a seriously outdated tool and you should really check out the currently supported WinToolKit: http://www.wincert.net/forum/files/file/5-win-toolkit/ "

I couldn't resist making a comment to the author to check out your tool http://www.howtogeek.com/124368/how-to-create-a-customized-windows-7-installation-disc-with-integrated-updates/#comment-192704

Will integrated updates remain after additional integrations?
compstuff replied to grant3's topic in Win Toolkit
Yes I do the same thing all the time -
I am guessing that McRip re-uploaded all the files so they now have date changes because I show all 474 files needing to be downloaded when I do an update... but v33 doesn't show all the updates as needed downloads... I actually don't even think v33 showed all the updates

[Release] .NET Framework Collection 20111019(1.1/2.0/3.5/4.0)
compstuff replied to YumeYao's topic in SVCPACK Addons
Is there an updated 3.5 package anywhere? EDIT: I found user_hidden's THANKS -
Rica... I don't want to cross post so please see my other question about CurrentControlSet and ControlSet001 with offline integrations:
-
Rica thanks for the info and I have a question: Over here http://forums.mydigi...ll=1#post618630 you stated For offline hotfix integrations, you have to change CurrentControlSet to ControlSet001 and ControlSet002 (two .reg entries) for it to work and I notice the entries above are all done that way. I never knew that and was always using CurrentControlSet for my reg settings... does that mean I should change them since my integrations are always offline images and rarely live systems?

Unhandled Exception on Downloading v66 Update from v65
compstuff replied to compstuff's topic in Win Toolkit
Thanks Muffy I did but wanted to make sure Lego was aware for future versions -
I see the v66 reg import fix but no mention of the SFX and update integration fixes... I have not confirmed these problems but they were reported by others so I held off using v65

I also use that rule and I use another one also which makes me get rid of stuff BEFORE I move and not after ...that way I have less to move and to unpack each time I move
-
Thats so LAME it barely even warrants this response!!!!!
-
Why don't you take a trip from Arkansas and help us all :g:
-
Good to know I'm not the only one that hasn't completely unpacked after year lol
-
WOW you guys use an old version I used v140-33 and all my stuff worked but I have held off using v65 because of the reported integration failures
-
I had also asked the same thing and Rica gave me the following: You can make your own silent installer from the 4.5 .net official rtm release with the ''usual'' MS .exe switches - /quiet /norestart.
-
My setup is similar to Marks's. I also use an SSD and a 2nd hard drive where all my updates are. I use an I5 laptop and I get more than 300 updates done in 2 hrs. The idea is to use multiple "spindles" when possible to increase the read/write throughput. In our case we are lucky to have an SSD as a "spindle" but a 10K drive must be a screamer as well.

I have a particular set of steps I use because it allows me to experiment more and NOT have to redo everything if something goes wrong or I need to make a change. Start with an untouched SP1 image STEP 1 - I add and integrate all the hotifxes, updates and additional items (this take 2 hrs) STEP 2 - I add MS stuff that needs to be added through SFX along with some programs and my custom work (Takes 5 minutes) STEP 3 - I add all my custom driver work based from DriverPacks (I think this takes about 35 min) STEP 4 - Remove and Tweak settings (minutes) I test my first two steps in Vbox, determine if I have errors and what step they are in. I then get that perfect and do steps 3 and 4 and test on laptops. That gives me a "finished" ISO. When and if an updated step 2 item is release I just replace it in the ISO and it's done... no additional integration. I attached some old .ini samples but they are outdated and only as reference to help explain... I am currently working on new ones Step-1-Updates-August-04.ini Step-2-SFX-August-05.ini

Although many of us on here do lots of development and testing with the tools I also create a new integration from scratch every time. My general idea is to create a new ISO every 3 months and during the time I am using the designed ISO for installs I just update some of the SFX installers and use the KUC to make sure they are fully updated at every fresh installation. I also time my new integrations around the Major Release Patch Tuesday.
