I know this isn't a ToolKit problem but it's the second time it happened to me and i am wondering if anyone else had had this: After I finish my installation and some other manual changes to the OS I do a final reboot and the system won't recognize my password... and I can't login at all. The hint is correct which seems to imply the keyboard was typing properly but I definitely can't login in so I have to re-install.

I have been having such great success that I decided to try and combine all my presets for SoLoR, Additions, IE9, my 23 SFX items including .NET and I had lots of RunOnce Errors... most things didn't install, the setup logs and filled with errors and even the darn drivers gave me problems. I will do some new tests tomorrow. I am doing installs from USB onto an SSD so their really quick for me... just the integration takes 2 hrs per try.

I tend to agree...it's not even listed on the http://www.ubm-global.com/index.php/en/products main US products page ...it is listed in the EU page http://www.ubm-global.eu/product-all.php?page=4 It does come up in Software Informer http://wintoolkit-network-inventory-professiona.software.informer.com/ The domain is parked with UUNet and anything else on Google Search WinToolKit seems irrelevant.

Not working for me...
-
I like it too and your already there with Google :prop:

I have yet to use the kit for a live "online" system but since it is also developed to handle running systems IMHO the word Development doesn't quite fit

Very nice

Make custom installer file of windows 7 add new folders
compstuff replied to oggge's topic in Microsoft Windows 7
Just found this Reaper...THANKS VERY MUCH -
I also like both their ideas and also like the word "image" since the toolkit and WIN7 - WIN8 work with "images"

Don't like the word "tinker" Customize is better

[Repack] Java7 update 51 Dual x32 & x64
compstuff replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Installer Repacks
Thanks Kel.. I always like to try before I just ask people to update their addons... just couldn't quite figure it out... thanks again -
FINALLY!!!!! I downloaded a new ISO from MS for my client and I used v11 with my latest presets... I have combined IE9 and all SoLoR hotfixes into 1 step with 100% success :prop:

Kel I'm sure that was a very tough time for you and I am very sorry for your loss

It was what we call a FM (Freakin Magic) fix lol... I didn't do anything other than open the darn browser a dozen times and rebooted a few times and it just stopped. That was reported in other posts as well. I will add the reg setting to configure the browser before setup and see what happens with that...
-
Yeah that's what I meant too lol... I will eventually have a tweak that omits that anyway just a weird problem that I never saw before... when I googled it there were some other people that had the same issue and the same "fix"
-
Seems that every time I open IE9 32bit i get the darn setup screen but not the 64bit... anyone see this before? http://clip2net.com/s/1L4WQ EDIT: After opening the browsers about 12 or so time it just stopped and doesn't happen now...Hmmmmmm

I thought you would like to know that using the Technet image and doing things in multiple steps everything seemed to work great (even with the aborting message) Step 1) IE9 + Hotifx - perfect Step 2) SoLoR 336 updates - perfect Step 3) 6 SoLoR Additions & 2 Offline updates as manual SFX- perfect Step 4) 13 addons (see image) - perfect http://clip2net.com/s/1L4MR When I check my event logs and MS update it is exactly what I was hoping for. I will now test the driver packs, some removals and some tweaks. I will also be trying to reduce the number of steps to possibly 1 or 2 REALLY GREAT WORK!!! AWESOME TOOL!!!!

[Repack] Java7 update 51 Dual x32 & x64
compstuff replied to Kelsenellenelvian's topic in Installer Repacks
Forgive my ignorance but I am a little lost... I extracted both the x86 and x64 files as Kel described but I'm not sure how to use your tool... do I just run the tool in the same directory as both sets of extracted files? Does the tool add Kels settings etc? -
Who's naughty you or me? Now you have me wondering LOL
-
I'm ASTOUNDED that this guy would ask you for your code!!!!
-
I also just got that and confirm it doesn't reboot... the header states "aborting" which was alarming during the install

I started from scratch using v140-7 and my Technet x64 ENT image... Step 1 integrated IE9 and Hotfix - perfect Step 2 integrated 336 updates - perfect Step 3 integrated 6 additions as updates - only 1 installed others failed I have never been able to successfully get all 6 to provide me a bootable fully working ISO so I gave up and have been handling them differently (as silent installers with switches and that works for me) but this is interesting because it shows the Hotfix for WI Foundation installed but not WI Foundation http://clip2net.com/s/1KXLl EDIT: Another odd thing is that previously I was able to integrate KB971033 with no problem now after two different tries I can't seem to integrate it http://clip2net.com/s/1KYPC
-
AV always off so not that but it's no problem unless I change the option to above normal then my general usage become pretty slow so I leave it at normal http://clip2net.com/s/1KWlJ
-
I eliminated the cabs and still have it fail when I try all 6 so I evetually gave up and added them a different way but I will try again today since the Toolkit has had so many updates since I last tried

They work on the Technet but not on the VL version but I am thinking your correct but I can't understand why... the damn things should be the same except for 1 or two slipstreamed hotfixes. I'm :censored: at MS for not updating the VL version because my technet version won't use the VL key they supplied the customer and this is creating havoc for me. I am still running more tests and will give you further updates. By the way is it normal to use 100% CPU when the image is being written? I have an Intel Core i5-430M and it pegs for about a full minute
