Create your own Autounattend.xml All-In-One (x86/amd64)
crashfly replied to myselfidem's topic in Microsoft Windows 7
@myselfidem - It would seem to me that if all of those batch files are being run (no matter which OS [x86 or x64]), then your x64 batch files need to be "reworked" just a bit. Just to remove the "excess", the command 'goto :Cpu64' can be dropped as the next label is the appropriate one to jump to. Alternatively, the next command after the 'if' command on the x64 batch files should be 'goto :exit'. -
It would seem that I need a decent 'DVD Ripper', at least one that does a "backup" to a hdd. This software appears to do just that. I would also like to request a license.

Request filled

That would be just like Microsoft to do that.

Yes, and sometimes I do not read. :worthy: -
[Slim] .NET Framework 4 Full x86/x64 (1-10-2016)
crashfly replied to ricktendo's topic in Installer Repacks
hmmm ... if this one has all of the latest updates, I will definitely have to try it out. Thanks ricktendo64. Question: I am under the assumption this will work with Win7 also? -
Alternate way to select packages/options checkboxes.
crashfly replied to zavan's topic in OLD Threads
It is probably less about the option, more on how to do it quickly. Even I did not know there was a shift/ctrl option to select multiple items. We live and learn .... moving on ... -
Why not "split the difference"? Maybe Legolash2o should give an option to specify your own format for the logs (similar to how the date and time works in the Windows Region Settings). @Legolash2o - If you do not want to go through the actual process of creating the "format" option, at least give some options to choose. (a.k.a - "YY-MM-DD_HH-MM", "DD-MM-YY_HH-MM", or "MM-DD-YY_HH-MM") The options will give greater flexibility and less complaining later.

I would prefer better component removal, but only because I already understand the language that W7T is in (English). But as I think about it, I do not really remove much (if anything), so language support would be good too. I am somewhat on the fence, but I still lean a bit toward the component removal.
-
You could go ahead and prepare for that support by creating a list of items to be translated. That way, when you actually add that support to W7T, you will already have the translations ready. Hell, if there was a way, I would even try to help you myself ... but as it is, you are doing great with what you give us.

The differences are that silent installers actually install right before the machine is ready to use. The "addons" are integrated into the install media and are 'pre-installed'. There is not a "right" way to do it, so either way would work depending on the preferences of the person setting up the install media. I myself prefer the silent installers, but I will use "addons" if necessary.

The encryption is to keep others from stealing his work. It is perfectly legitimate in program. In most situations it should not cause a problem, but yes there can occasionally be bugs because of it. I applaud Legolash2o for wanting to protect his work and yet still keep the program free.

I think you can the same updates again. I do not think it makes too much of a difference. Those updates will update/overwrite the necessary files to have the update applied. It is not recommended to add a driver that was previously added (could cause issues). However, it is likely possible. Best solution would be to start from an untouched source every time and go from there. Depends on the driver. I think only the Mass Storage and LAN drivers are added to the boot.wim file. Do not feel bad, I do not speak spanish. --> Me no habla Espanol.

What do you mean by "refreshing"? The icons show up as they should and appear to match what I have as space. Of course I also have not looked close enough (until now) to see if the icons match the free space.

Meh, "Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter" and "The Second Encounter" were enough for me. Not sure if I could justify spending too much on a game that is so much like Doom. All you do is run around and kill stuff. Side note: That is probably why I like RTS games more.
-
I like this idea also. Then again, I do not know if it matters what order most updates are installed in.
-
Yes, this was already requested by myself here: http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/topic/8924-adding-non-integratable-updates/. Since it has already been resolved by Legolash2o, this request would already be filled.
-
It would depend on how many "seals" you had to break to get into it. If 'none', then you will not have an issue.
-
All of those "tweak" requests should go here: http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/topic/8743-tweaks-merged/

I am partial to my MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0. I have had few if ever any problems with it. But that is just me.
-
meh, I am not unhappy with it. It actually works quite well under Win7. Of course I have 12gb of RAM and a Phenom II x4. So I cannot tell if it is slowing down my system. It appears to work great for me anyway.

A USB stick does not *have* to be fat32. However, if you make it into an ntfs file system, you are going to limit what other OSes can read it.
-
Thank you for testing it out. Since I want different icons that what Win7 has to offer, I will give it a shot. Now, if only we could reduce the duplication.
