  1. You could find all of the parts on tigerdirect and you would save a couple of bucks.
  2. Thanks mate. I think PCWorld just links to other websites to sell the products. I have never used maplin before, but it looks like some of there prices are kind of high. Amazon isnt to bad of a place to buy stuff, I have bought from them acouple of times, but then I found NCIX and Tigerdirect (But no NCIX in the UK, and doesnt ship to UK). Yes, if you can find some good 1066 for a reasonable price, get it. What kind of OS are you getting (x86/x64)? If 64, you can pick up 4gb's of of ram for a good price. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3655524&CatId=3413 or http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4098447&CatId=3413 Yes the 2xx cards are expencive, the 260's arnt to bad (if you dont get the superclocked version). You can take a look here, there are some bundles which you might like too. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=GTX+260&searchbtn.x=0&searchbtn.y=0 One thing to remember when using watercooling, build it OUTSIDE the case and let it run for 24hours+. If there is a leak, it could fry your components.
  3. Hope you like it mate.
  4. Thanks everyone, ill try and be as active as possable. :thumbsup_anim:
  5. Hello snakecracker I have a few suggestions for your build and a few questions. First questions. Where are you getting your parts from? There is a site I use, www.tigerdirect.com it has good deals on computer parts (most of the time). And what parts do you already have? Next suggestions. The P5K SE/EPU is a kind of flimsy board. The SATA plugs are in the worst spot (how they are positioned, if you have clip SATA cables its almost imposable to unclip them when the MoBo is in). Other then that, its not to bad of a board. The Q6600 is one of the best quad core CPU's out there, best bang for your buck. If you are going to get a watercooling system, dont buy the premade systems, there not the greatest. If you want a watercooling system, build your own, you will save money on it. When looking for ram, look for 1066+, you will notice a difference over 800 when gaming. And in an earlier post, technology advances so fast, it would be a good idea to get a 260/280 card. There is a great improvement in speed from the 8800 to the 2xx series.
  6. NAR (Nero Application Remover) v1.2.4 Well here is my first release, I have been working on this for a little bit, and I want to share it. Info Nero original file size: 370Mb's Nero Unpacked size: 1.74-1.84GB's (depending on what version) Instructions This will step you through all the steps to make a custom installer for Nero 9. I have made it so you cannot remove crucial files. #1 You need to extract the Nero 9 installer. Now there are 2 ways you can do this. You can use the Extractor (which is at the bottom of the page), or you can use 7zip. Im going to use the Extractor. Extract the Extractor to where the Nero 9 installer is. Then drag the Nero 9 installer onto the the Extractors exe. The Extractor will open and start extracting the files. Wait untill it extracts then rename the extracted folder to "Nero". #2 Now to remove the applications and languages you dont need. You will need NAR (which you can get at the bottom of the page). Extract it into the Nero folder and run it. Select the applications and languages you dont want/need and press Ok. It will delete all of the folders containing all of the unneeded applications and languages you selected. If you mess up, just re-extract the installer. Now you need to input your serial at the bottom of the app (where the XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX is), delete the "XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX" and type\paste your serial in and hit replace. Your serial will replace the dummy serial. Once you have done that, you can select the default language for all of your nero apps (English is default). Once done, click the Create SFX button. It will start making the SFX, it may take a while to compress (depending on how many applications/Languages you removed). Once it has compressed, it is ready. You now have your slimmed down and silent installer for Nero 9. You can add it to WPI or whatever you want. Note: You need to input a real serial or the installation will fail. Note: Do not close NAR when you are creating the SFX. Note: There is a right click context menu if you need help, its there. This is still new so if you find any bugs or have an idea to make it better, please post here. 7. Here is my custom logon for vista ultimate. You will have to take ownership of "imageres.dll" in the system32 forlder. Rename it to "imageres.dll.bak" and place the new "imageres.dll" into the system32 folder. x86 and x64 Pic P.S. It looks much better, the pic is just crappy quality. Download is in bottom right corner. http://www.2shared.com/file/4381392/ec752102/imageres.html
