I believe your looking for the Unofficial Service Pack 5. It contains the majority (if not all?) updates released after SP4. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4817.html

Thought I'd add a picture of the 3dMark06 score. My desktop scored just a little bit higher at 5368. I didn't get a screenshot of that because I didn't think of it lol

Resuming my old topic, but I have made some advances in the IE7 look.

Awesome skin mate, matches pretty well. Fits pretty good with my Firefox theme (IE7 look) and the glass on Vista. Beautiful, see? hehe http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n227/br.../Untitled-2.png

Hmm that was weird, I opened that linky earlier and the pics didn't load. Working now though Must just be imageshack.

Awesome, I'm looking forward to the new version. Time for a visual refresh for Vista in my opinion. Got any more screenies?

Here's a picture of the Experience Index thingy hehe glad it's liked Thanks guys

hehe I'm finding the T5550 pretty speedy really. Only thing this computer needs I think is a reload with Vista that isn't so bloated. All the software Asus loaded on here sure doesn't help.
-
O_o you must need a fast machine mate, this little laptop runs pretty good considering it has an oem install of Vista on it.

I just picked up a new laptop on the weekend. I had been thinking of a new laptop for a long time, and finally I decided to make the jump and did it. It's an ASUS F8Sn-D1. Specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 1.83GHz 3GB DDR II 667 250GB HDD nVidia Geforce 9500M GS 14.1" WXGA Glossy Webcam in the display Wireless G DVD Super Multi Burner Windows Vista Home Premium It came with a small USB pocket mouse and a carrying case. I'll try and get some more pics up of it later on. I don't have the time to use the computer that much, but when I can use it, it's so much fun hehe The battery life is great. I get about 3 hours run time, which is pretty good in my opinion. And Doom3 runs perfectly on it

Hey guys, today I went to a local PC retailer and they happened to have this card on clearance. 76 bucks so I thought I'd get it and throw it in my PC, my brother has the 8600GTS and the heatsink is whisper quiet even with a fan. The 7300 I had was very noisy so that was a main point for me. Especially considering I paid 76 bucks for the 7300 less than a year ago  Threw it in, and boy what a dream. Nice and quiet, fast and does what I need it to do. I'm going to throw Vista on here tonight and see what my score is, heavily anticipating it

roflmao Kramer was an awesome character. This one makes me laugh, but I can't find the one where Kramer says "who turns down a junior mint? they're chocolate, they're peppermint, they're delicious!" "it's very refreshing!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqnf7sLkmqs

HVAC is Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. I can stay cool now hehe Hopefully on Monday I'm getting a truck. I know I'm getting a computer for my paperwork and what not, but I really do hope I get a truck.

Hey guys, just wanted to say a few things. First off, sorry for not being too active here lately. I been tied up with my schooling a lot lately. I just finished high school, so I'm thrilled about that, and then on top of that, I have been hired on to the company I just finished my co-op with. So I'm hoping that now I'm done high school I can start spending a bit more time here as I won't have to worry about homework as much now. Just the odd bit of paper work I start my new job on Monday. I've chosen to go into the HVAC work force, with my co-op experience I know it's for me. So yah, I just wanted to let you guys know about my absence lately and why it's been that way. Don't worry as I haven't forgotten about good ol' WinCert The next couple of days I have off, so I'll be lurking on the boards quite a bit

Hey guys, I'm looking for a trainer program for Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 (1.08.183). The TRGSak program I keep finding does not work with this version. Anyway, if anyone has a trainer for this game that works on this version, please let me know. Thanks!

Only 100gb? It's a laptop hard drive mate I didn't buy it for the size, bought it for the speed. My desktop is where I have the storage. 500gb SATA HDD, and in a drive enclosure my other 500GB SATA HDD
-
I decided it was time to get a faster hard drive for my Toshiba laptop, and man was I right hehe So I decided to get the Seagate Momentus SATA 100GB 7200.1. 7200 RPM. I think it's SATA I. The system boots faster and installs stuff faster. For 80 bucks, it was a steal. It's also whisper quiet, which I like. Nothing I like more than a quiet running PC. I'd definitely recommend this drive to anyone looking for a new laptop HDD. Now just to find something to do with my old 80gb HDD

Newer isn't always better. Found that out the hardware with iPod firmware and mp3 player firmware. I don't update until I know it's for a good cause. Unfortunately, it's hard to find out every little thing. At least with driver's it's not like you can brick your computer though.

Here's mine at the moment. Running Vista Home Basic on my laptop with SP1. Must say, SP1 is a bit speedier.

cygnus replied to orbit30's topic in Windows Customization
I have been looking into this thread a lot lately, really thinking of trying it. Now that I have a computer with a tuner card and remote, and its hooked up to a TV, I think it's worth a shot Thanks for the post -
Am I glad to see the site back up, I haven't been to active lately because of work, and school, but I still pop in and check the news stories and check the new posts once a day or so. It will be even better once the front page is back up Glad to see it back though!
