lol i can recall seeing the whole episode on space channel a few years back.i am still affected by it to this day.

well i can recall it has a text file with the files to feed the wpf so it dosent "watch" them.. edit:...or something lol but basicaly ure right it does handle wpf in the end

xptsp gui will also do this in time. once everything is all good n running,the batch versions of xptsp will perish.

oh thx for the cursors and fonts i forgot all about it also;the repalcer tool will replace any file in use but i dont think it will cansel out the wfp scheme...but im not sure.

amnesia: i have no idea, i acctualy use both(reg and sfc hex from zacams patches)but i can test. i think i recall a problem at work when i did a pc and used the winnt.sif way of doing things; [SystemFileProtection] SFCQuota=0 SFCDisable=ffffff9d but ill have to test on a stock sp3 build and edit the regsitry and see if the files stay modded. but we can also use a trick; copy the modded specific protected files to dll cache(%WINDIR%\system32\dllcache) and then copy them to the defualt destination.also on soem system the service pack has a temp dir wich the wfp can also retrieve the original files,so we would also have to copy the specificly protected file to that destionation, allthough i have found that it is almsot better to delete the sevice pack cache instead.

altf4; in case you havint noticed the files you were looking for in the add remove pannel are in appwiz.cpl.res .. are you disabeling sfc or anything in ure script? and also : "there are double gifs in appwiz.cpl after patching, but, i don't think it's a major issue " this is a result of an older res that was adding the gif files witht he wrong names,when patching on the original cpl file all is ok. to all: im uploading the updated release to match the files amnesia posted.

looks sharp but im hoping for a logo that isint m$/windows related. thx for these,will include,ill be reuploading and making a silent update.

maybe the slipstreamer puts files in a cab archive with a different name so the gui patcher dosent do those files..i dunno.i dont know if you could re test and find out if the slipstreamer compresses anything in an differently names archive.thx ill be updating in a few minutes once the files have ben uplaoded.only changes are the 2 files amnesia posted,i have edited the resources a bit to my likes and i must say,it is lookign quite well.

maybe it should be based on xptsp lol. thx for the translation amnesia, those look sleek.

ive stopped using the slipstreamer for a while now,OnePiece's does a very good job.

ah so this is some even nicer work then! edit: just finished a full install in vm on a clean sp3 build and i must say things are looking quite perfect.

ok ill test it right away if i can,i have to leave in a few minutes. well all cabs seem to have ben build correctly, ill leave a virtual install do its work while im gone.but i do like the progress bar that CABARC is giving.good work. altho 1 problem arrises when trying to build the iso,-1 array variable error or something.ill build it manualy and start the install. edit:i think we may have a winner,txt setup passed flawlessly,ill let you know when i come back for the remainder of the setup process.

well thats the point, cur arent animated cursors,they are as a still image. and liek i said,users have reported strange stuff and once i have removed the curs from the user32 res things seemed to be fixed.maybe it was just the curs i was using,i dunno.

well i find the current avis with writing are nice. about user32.dll,there is an issue where it breaks the setup.so users have reported not being able to boot of the cd and stuff like that.so i removed the cursors.Dougie's gui has them and are added addon style so i might add them to the batch addon. dougie:i dont know if you have the time to pack me the cursors in the gui so i can add them tot he batch addon?thx aslo i was testign the new gui and after patching files in sp3,the installer halts and prompts a message saying; --------------------------- XP Theme Script Patcher --------------------------- ERROR: Did not find newly created "SP3.CAB"! --------------------------- OK ---------------------------
