  1. well problem is nlite dosent support custom commands like "[RunFile]" in the entries.ini.you can always use the manual patcher, after u use nlite.
  2. pardon my lazy ignorance, but to what files should these be appliyed on?
  3. lolol yeah i seem to put in alot of effort to make mistakes too! seems to be a problem with the user images...id like confirmation. these pictures dont seem to overwrite properly the ones present in the original xp source files; airplane.bmp ball.bmp redflowr.bmp skater.bmp and seems i didnt pach all the new cpls properly. edit; typos typos typos...well i think i fixed the user image probs...
  4. oh well. im thinking of maybe also including the HIVESYS.INF 1024x768x32 hack.
  5. hey thx alot!ill do a silent update.
  6. -sorry user images are the same, but it migh be an idea to add or replace them. -a screensaver repalcement is included but its not vista's,but again i will prolly add them in next release.(could you post some screen shots of what vista's screen saver looks like,or better,a direct link to it.) and as for mouse cursors it has a vista-ish repalcement, but its not animated.(i might be able to do soemthign about this..) as for ure question about the bootfile. to make ure iso bootable, u can either make a bootfile from an xp bootable cd that you have via various iso managers, or you can just use rvm integrator to build ure iso.(remember this addon/tool is for use with ryan vm integrator,if you just want to execute the paching progress manually plz read 1st post for a link to the manual patcher.) -ill include a better looking image in logonui for next release(will 1920x1440 24bit 7.91 MB picture do ? its ben included for next rel.) -as you can see i dont have the problem(im using 1680x1050 ) btw Kaylar, isint Last xp warez?i just hope none of the work done here will be in the next version of it. aslo, thx for the feedback guys ,but plz comment in the "offcial" thread next time, its easyer for me to track down problems, thx.
  7. yeah i know its not centered,thats why i used an other avi.thing is ,we wouldint even need the dialog fix if the damn avis were in the right resolution. most of the originals are: 272 x 60 and 304x60 and all of this is because in shell32 thers acouple of over sized avis for file deletion copy etc..here is a list of the original sizes vs. the ones from original viso for the avi's(ill only state the bigger rectangular avi's): 160=272x60/400x40 161=272x60/400x40 162=272x60/400x40 163=304x60/400x40 164=304x60/400x40 165=272x60/same 167=272x60/same 168=272x60/same 169=304x60/same 170=272x60/same ieframe 544=272x60 alltho i do know that the avi's look better when they span the whole width of the window....(the current avi's dont use transparency like the ones m$ do) ok try this one amnesia,its ieframe.dll.mui,i resized the section of the dialog to acomodate the whole width of the window; http://rapidshare.com/files/132230259/ieframe.dll.mui.html edit: by chance do you know whos the culprit;
  8. yeah right. but i do know for a fact that sp3 has a couple of ie7 hotfixes.but i guess this is only valid if you install sp3 on a live system afterwards. so i guess ieframe.dll comes from ie7 afterall and not sp3.
  9. really? well then the mystery has ben resolved, on sp3,they changed it.
  10. nice touch ,will include.
  11. but shdocvw.dll isint responsible for what we see when we dl files, its in ieframe.dll. and i just tested making an iso with rvmi and it worked perfectly.so i dunno whats wrong with people who have trouble.
  12. i finaly sampled alot of it.will be in next release.thx btw,do you know witch res is the one for a file currently being downloaded by internet explorer,i found various places and patched them all and i still cant find it.its not in(alltho the avi im seeing is in those resources...): ieakui.dll.res shell32.dll.res jobexec.dll.res extmgr.dll.res ithink i finally found it; ieframe.dll.res
  13. LOL wow ,nicely asked and nicely located. give me all i want alllll, but in a small tiny package.
  14. i would like to have more info about the reg entries... and in the screenshot the window seems transparent(glass) is it a result of "installing" this "MMC mod"(probably not) also,in the .reg; alot of the entries seem to point at a path that not every one has "@D:\\WINDOWS" also you have countless empty keys you could remove and sections that could be merged into the same key.
  15. yeah, i realy liked them too, prety much shows all the steps...
  16. judging from the size i guess all the icons are slimmed down to only 2 dit depths?
  17. yeah i know,i added the other colors to user32 cause when people were having trouble with the boot problem i though it was the problem, but didint revert back once i realised that wasint the prob.infact i did this to one or 2 other resources...i think batt and an other id have to check.(cause of the unsigned battery problem in a stock windows install a popup would be seen ,and that too is still a problem after my modifications.)
  18. wtfs wrong with the damn bbcode on this forum i cant do sh*t. spent 3o min try to post screenshots and the fukin thing is screwing with me. guess i was a little ticked-off,but i eventually got it working.
  19. lol yeah my thoughts exactly.i think its at 1st logon to desktop when it asks to resize screen... to pmi: "To be more clear: the original icon is 32x32 4bit, and the new one has different sizes, 4 bit and more colours. Another case is that in the original icon, the order of the sizes is different from the order in the new icon" this shouldint affect anything. "And why do you replace a 32x32 (or other size) only icon, with one that has multiple sizes? " do you mean the other way around, why replace with an icon with only 1 res?and well seems the system will still run fine even in safe mode.(overall it helps reduce the size of this pack)(and if there are icons that are repalaced like you say,and infact the resolution arent supposed to be there then name them ill investigate) "Also, I found the same issue with the avi's . The new ones can be 399x50 in size, but the older ones are 272x60. From what I saw on my system, XP handles this by cropping the animation. " lol well if it works why not?i didint make them so i wouldint know appart from the fact that if it caused problems, but it dosent for the moment,so it ll have to do for the time being. n e ways thx for ure consern.if you find anymore problems pls state in witch file so i can try and fix it.
  20. yeah i know, when i get the time ill remake a whole set,and prolly end up having more too. nope dunno what dialog it is yet.
  21. lol ok. lol would be funnay to have instead of ; service pack X have; latest service pack or;dont worry you have the latest service pack edit: on an other note i think i found the problem for the squashed icon that stimpy reported, but im not sure how im going to fix it..(seems the icon is not the culprit but the dialog box isint big enough(the space attributed to display the icon beside the text is not large enough...i think but maybe its just the icon too lol))
  22. lets hope it dosent have an impact on anything, but im willing to include it,im currently going thru all the res file again, doing soem clean up.expext an update in the next hour or so.so if you have any more propositions to add/remove/change ,now's the time.
  23. OK let me test them, ill certainly add them.
  24. are they from shell32???
