they updted it to v009. and the icon is now in teh same line as the cpu z, so yeah would be agreat addition to the cpl pack.

ill be able to test 2 morow,and i still stand by the 'i think its the file association' and i mean it.im happy that some of us acctualy did try and test it,blind trust never got anyone very far.

well them i think we have a bad apple here.

i dont know all i know is that,when integrated oobe dosent start it just hangs at the black xp screen. edit: i realy dotn know whats happening..if i dotn integrate addon all is fine,ican acheive oobe execution and evrything after runonceex..etc,but if its added it asks to open oobe as if ive dowloaded a file,i think this has to do with file associtaions.

ok well ive just narrowed down that the new v4.4 uninstallable addon breaks runonce.

but umm,what happened to good ol sfx ure .theme and the folder containing the theme and set path=%windir%\resources\themes .

these 2 files are the backround images,depending if u have ure video drivers installed and the set resolution. newmark1.jpg is for 1024x768 resolutions newmark8.jpg is for defaut 640x480 resolutions u can even add ure own personal intro video(INTRO.WM_),it has to be 7 secons long,after that the music(TITLE.WM_) will kick in.NOTE that the cabed wma audio file must be encoded in widnows media audio codec 7 or maybe in v.9x but NOT in pro or lossless.must not have DRM.the video can be prety much in any quality and in any wmv codec. its normal that u havint found vista oobe images as vista dosent really have an oobe. one thing to remember ,ucannot put any image as u have to keep in mind that there is writing and stuff,certain picture can make it very hard to see whats written....i have a picture maybe u guys will like for the oobe backround... chek attached file...this picture is acctualy from the longonui.exe i use u can see on the 2nd attachment.

i had my 1st pc in 2001, i had damaged the hard drive and memory,i was on win98,so id go in msdos and try to magically repair god knows what by doing scanreg repairs and doing" /? commands",funny enought id be able to boot insafe mode atleast and from there ive just ben getting hands on experiance,trying to fix whats broken or breaking whats working...heh.so thats how i developped an intrest in computers,both hardware and software.

i use runonce like you do but i have a diferent aproache,i elave all files on cd and run them on location,as for the the ie7 addon, it dosent break runonce,but ive had corrupted addons that have tho.. here's how i run my runonceex: 1st,add cmd via t13 or t12 myrunonceex.cmd> @Echo Off FOR %%i IN (D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) DO IF EXIST %%i:\apps\ SET CDROM=%%i: SET PP=%CDROM%Apps\ SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx REG ADD %KEY% /V TITLE /D "Installing Programs" /f REG ADD %KEY%1 /VE /D "paint dot net v3.10" /f REG ADD %KEY%1 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%Apps\PDNS.exe" /f EXIT you can see that this way,the installer looks for ure opticaldrive (i set it to look for the apps folder) then evrything is ran via the disc under the "APPS"folder,this way no cleaning up 2 do.

well thats odd.... ill try to install this addon at runonce after all my sfx's have ran and see .cuz a while ago on an other pc ,i manualy installed this addon on a live install,so maybe thats why it worked...and why i thaught there was a change of versions in the coding.

yeah i know, i was giving the accessoies as an example,but i know whats the problem...i think....the older version of vistart is ok,so other than the arrow fix, they must have changed something else.

there seems to be a problem when adding shortcuts to "All Programs"with winrar ,if i make a shorcut via the comment section of the sfx,the shortcut will only be visible with the normal startbutton,if i enable the vistart program,the shortcuts arent there.(this is true only when addign a shortcut to a folder that is alredy there,if the shortcut that i add creates a new "root"folder then it will work.)ie:i cannot add a program shortcut to 'accessories' folder because it is allredy exsistant,but if i create a new folder in the list it will work.its very strange..i dont know if it would have anything to do with the "save path" line in an rar sfx comment...

i think there is an issue where the translucent bar on wich the icon are layed out is ontop of the quick lauch icons instead of under.
