  1. i dont think there is any problems at all, depending on the gadgets you add it also may add a sidebar.exe process. For the memory usage, again some gadgets use more than others, and apparently depending on the language you use the there may be a problem as it was stated a few posts back(i dunno where exactly but i recall a user talking about the mui support that was added to this addon, just reading the previous posts might give you a hint on what can be called "normal" behavior). but jugging from ure screen shots,i cant see any problems at all.yeah alky and the sidebar does use alot of memory but i find its one of the best working bars and you can prety much import any original vista gadget. edit: and you seem to have alot of gadgets(atleast 2 pages worth)try with less gadgets = less memory hogging.
  2. open sicks' pack, replace the files in it with the ones from this mce mod addon then rebuild the cab/addon,plus i dunno why you want to replace dutch files with this addon's english files.
  3. ok well im feeling prety much confident with the current build that is not is NOT advertised in 1st post but is still accessible thru the wincert ftp host.Just need to update 1st post.If you are unsure if you have the latest version or not(yeah i did do alot of silent builds and always kept v1.4.6.0 as the name)you can verify the "latest-ness" of you're build by consulting the md5 cheksum file that is also present in the ftp dir.
  4. cant say that i have experianced any problems yet, even with ie8.everything A oK.
  5. keep up the hard work man!
  6. umm if my memory serves me right(im not at home) qtab is sfx rar,and the rest are all 7z sfx.settings in both rar or 7z sfx'es use the highest compression so respectively best for rar and ultra for 7z. i added these apps to match what dougie is offereing in the gui,of course they install by default when in dougie's gui they are optional.but editing the batch addon to exclude them is super easy as you probably might already know. edit: qtab wasint getting installed correctly,i think i got it working now.(yeah it does require dot net 2.0)
  7. ow yeah, ist the system file copy avi/dialog, take an addon that has the default install section and install it,ull see the files getting copied are using the blue green avi that matches the internet downloaded file avi.i didint have matching avis for every file displacement type.(been like this since almost 1st revision of xptsp,so yeah not realy a bug or problem)
  8. ricks addons also has the denpendacie of dot net.
  9. dougie is totaly right, and yes the 1.4.6.0 that you can find on the wincert host is comaptible with these 2 addons that dougie linked to. kaylar is right, if you are using the xptsp version in 1st post, you will get problems. thats why i posted this: reading posts is cool alexandrud, you should try it sometime
  10. well i think im prety much done adding ie8 to the final 1.4.6.0 plz test.
  11. well if all goes well ull be able to get it from: http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/xptheme/XPtsp_Green/ i usualy upload builds that i feel confident that work but need more testing.
  12. i will require help to find the right dialog and or string.
  13. hang in there,i hope to find time in the next few days to try and help a bit out aswell, ill be adding ie8 support.
  14. please explain what you installed and how you proceeded to install it.
  15. ok,well start with a png,do all ure transparency stuff, save in png,now pass the end result in : alpha image converter it does a real nice job, sometimes artifacts may show when viewing with a standard image viewing utility but when the end result bmp is inputted in the said res file or as the oemlogo.bmp everything shoold be in order. i'd also want you to read up a bit on what alpha image acctualy fixes.Quite intresting to see that apparently the big guys (adobe ..etc) arent outputting windows conformant transparency files,or is it just windows again acting up?i dunno.all i know alpha chan con works nice!,just remember to do all ure image editing while ure still in png mode, then convert ure final file using the utility.Good luck!
  16. well i could add it to the batch, if it can help others out that use custom info, why not! if oeminfo.ini exist >> exit
  17. ah i see, i run it via runonceexe 900 something, so if u run urs after u might get the best of both worlds?
  18. yeah acctualy they are bmps not icons.but yeah i got the alpha channel working. so black/white backgrounds dont matter anymore.the picture will not have a 'frame'. http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/xptheme/XPtsp_Green/ look for v1.4.6.0 as for the system info, the oemgen needs sysdm to be edited before(res hack) in order to receive the the info oemgen will generate.ill try to make a compromis between the 2 but no garantees.
  19. tell me where u found the rest of ure shell and ill tell you. edit: but seriously,i doubt you applied it on a clean source.
  20. well if every one is willing, ill add it to the batch addon too.
  21. allredy fixed, pending release just to be sure everything is working . mr.smartepants: bleh, lets wait till theres a true addon.specially since im sure there will be at elast half a douzaine switchless installer releases,it would make it too hard to pickup each of them and depending on the sfx used it would also be a problem. dougie: no problem i can make it so they match but since "welcome" is kinda headline-ish,title-ish ,i find it normal that it would be in a bigger writting than the shutdown message as its is more informative than anything else.but like i said, no problem it can be fixed.
  22. humm k. but what i ment was, keep the text file but dont make it open up at then end, pop a message box instead.
