TBH, I found out after sweating a lot that installing the IPX/SPX protocol seems to (almost) eliminate the same issue you are having. Worth a shot but don't put your money on it...

I'd go with Luciano on this one although I don't use Winamp. For me WMP11 does the job and hey!, it sounds nice on my 5.1 Technics sound tower
