Well, I can see the image in your post. I just realized the image was hosted on Facebook servers, and on https, maybe it was because of one or another. I re-hosted the image somewhere else because I don't like posting something hosted on Facebook anyway.
  2. @ianymaty: My guess is this is because the first install was a regular install, then the second and third ones are admin install. I'm not sure it can be fixed easily, unless someone found a way to automatically uninstall all previous Java versions before installing the new ones. I will add a warning in the first post to uninstall previous Java versions if they are not admin install. Version 1.2 of the maker: better compression of the installers, thanks to user_hidden.
  3. Thanks for the samples jo72. I've edited your post to add code and spoiler tags.

I thought this picture was fun, that's all
  5. But can't it be set to delete itself after the first boot ?
  6. Hi ianymaty, I can reproduce the install error in 1, but I can't reproduce the RunDLL & no Icons issue in 2. I think the error in 1 is because previous install was not an admin install, I suppose the solution should be to uninstall any previous Java versions before installing this one, but I don't know if it could be done automatically and silently. Can you test if you have the same issue with the installers from Kels or user_hidden ?
  7. This is a script to repack JRE (Java Runtimes) setups into a silent 7zip SFX installer. Current version (for Java 8u73 and newer) (could work on XP if you use a custom build of aria2) JAVA-Multi_Maker_3.5.zip MD5: 7716dddd8c576f0d002e6ddeb43d1ac6 SHA-1: 495cf642bf73571bca97179e63ab28c88ca2f5f1 Size: 3.79 MB How to use: - Extract the archive in a work folder with no space in the path. - Run the batch file. - Choose the version you want to use. The script will download the newest JRE automatically. If there is a problem with the download (or if you don't have access to Internet), you can also put the desired version(s) in the same folder than the script, it will always use the greater version found in the folder. Notes: - To avoid errors, the SFX will uninstall any previous Java version(s) newer than JRE 6.0 Update 22 before installing the new one(s). nLite/RVMi Addons are no longer created - It's highly recommended to NOT install Java web plugins, they are plagued with many vulnerabilities, but using Java locally is rather safe. - You can use the uninstall tool for Java to remove (very) old versions. Available switches: GUI version: -ai - Silent install with Web plugins -ai1 - Silent install without Web plugins noGUI version: no switch - Silent install without Web plugins -ai - Silent install with Web plugins ------------------------------------ Beta version for Java 9/10 (obsolete) JAVA-Multi_Maker_4.0b4.zip MD5: 203c7e514414c932ff847d3d8dac5fa4 SHA-1: 93fc856e026fc42298ebc8e76bba338f21c1704a Size: 800KB How to use: You have to download the Java 9/10 setup(s) from here (x64) | mirror x64 | mirror x64 | mirror x86 . - Extract the archive in a work folder with no space in the path. - Copy the setup(s) in the "JRE_setups" folder - Launch "_JAVA_Multi_Maker.cmd". Available switches: No switch (default) - Silent install without Web plugins. Remove any previous Java version(s). -ai - Silent install with Web plugins. Remove any previous Java version(s). -ai1 - Silent install without Web plugins. Remove only previous Java 9 version(s). -ai2 - Silent install with Web plugins. Remove only previous Java 9 version(s). Tested on Windows 7 & 10 x64, everything works as intended. Please test and report how it works for you. ------------------------------------ Old version (for Java 8u20 up to 8u72) (works on XP) JAVA-Multi_Maker_3.0.zip MD5: d89eec93311acedd842c6378ed630734 Size: 1.29 MB ------------------------------------ Old version (for Java 6, 7 and 8 before 8u20) JAVA-Multi_Maker_1.3a.zip MD5: 8d592f99c2b25e2c4404203af0b4d082 Size: 373 KB How to use: - Extract the archive in a work folder with no space in the path. - Download the x86 and/or x64 Offline setup of Java 6/7/8 and put it in the same folder. - Run the batch file. The maker will perform an admin install of Java and repack them inside a 7zip SFX. Notes: - The install is passive by default, use a switch if you want silent install. - To avoid errors, the SFX will uninstall any previous Java version(s) newer than JRE 6.0 Update 22 before installing the new one(s). - Update check and Java quick starter are disabled (JQS doesn't exist in x64 anyway). - It's highly recommended to NOT install Java web plugins, they are plagued with many vulnerabilities, but using Java locally is rather safe. - You can use the uninstall tool for Java to remove (very) old versions. Available switches: -ai - Silent install with Web plugins -ai1 - Silent install without Web plugins
  8. Remove the Z[number] in the name of the files. Win Toolkit can also use the exe setup of IE now.
  9. I second the idea of a "Bugs" subforum.
  10. Hi andy_rose and welcome here. It's in Updates + Languages See the images.
  11. Thanks for the input anyway, it's always better to have more tests for the reliability.
  12. Indeed, good finding Thiersee ! We have once more the proof that infos on the security bulletins and Update Catalog can't be trusted blindly.
  13. You're welcome Thiersee. I don't understand either why KB2855844 don't want to be installed. It's not related with the VM because I've tried on real hardware and it refuse to install, and you've tried on VM and it installs.... Maybe a prerequisite is needed (unlikely since you said you're using my pack), or maybe it's something else.... The only obvious difference between you edition and mine is the language, can it be related ? Windows is actually a "blackbox ", we don't really know what it does. Sometimes, like now, I'm thinking of switching to Open Source OS....
  14. I don't know which edition of Windows 7 you're using, but it must differs of mine. I use Home Premium and Professional for my test, on both arch for each. I've made a test on Win7 Pro x64 in VirtualBox: I've uninstalled KB2835361, rebooted, then tried to install KB2855844: I had an error saying the update is not for my computer (translated from French so the message can be a little different.). If I do a Windows Update, it wants to reinstall KB2835361, no trace of KB2855844. None of the updates KB2823180 contains are in my packs, and none are requested on WU.
  15. Can't we add the drivers with driverpacks mass storage text mode function ?
  16. No, but the goal of my packs is "WU satisfy", so as long as it is satisfied it is ok for me
  17. Hi Thiersee, KB2855844 is in my list of superseded updates, but I don't remember why. Since KB2855844 is not requested on Windows update, I don't see the need to add it in the pack(s). Windows Update is my ultimate guide, not the security bulletins that are sometimes inaccurate and/or outdated.
  18. Merci icare.
  19. Same behavior with 1.4.29 final: On the first pass (Home Premium), all KB were marked as successfully integrated. On the second pass (Professional), the same KB than in 1.4.30.2 are marked not integrated. edit: Also tried with x64 images: Exactly the same behavior (same KB marked as not integrated) The list: KB2670838 KB0971033 (actual name KB971033) KB0982018 (actual name KB982018) WU client self update ActiveX I will try to install the second image to see if they are really not integrated or if it's just a bug with the GUI. edit: Good news: it seems it's just a bug in the GUI, the updates are actually integrated. (at least with 1.4.29 final) Tested x86 and x64 images.
  20. See image: KB2670838 was also marked as failed but I haven't had the time to take a screenshot (Win Toolkit have completed the image before). It was the second edition processed ( I was trying to update two editions of x86 Windows 7). In my last test (with 1.4.29.18) it was OK. 22. I don't think I can solve this, it's the way WinRAR is designed. Maybe I should remove the reg import feature entirely to avoid confusion, what do you think ? or at least add a warning ?
  23. Hi Thiersee, It's a "lure" for Windows Update, it's goal is to save space on the install image: instead of installing the real MRT.exe (malicious removal tool), we "install" a dummy MRT.exe in System32 but much smaller. We don't need the real one because the image is (supposedly) clean, and the real MRT.exe will be installed after a month anyway. (the lure it updated each month, like the real mrt). The lure iself is made with Bat_To_Exe_Converter, the "installer" is a 7zip sfx that will copy the file in the right folder depending if executed on x64 or x86. You can run the fake MRT.exe, it will do nothing except popping up a cmd window with some text (in French) explaining it is a lure. edit: see this post for creating your own.
  24. Version 2.2: Updated for Flash Player 12
