Good to know you have found the culprit. Indeed. I always install .NET 4.5 (Ricktendo installer) after KB2592687 and never encountered any problem.

If you use McRip repo, i'ts maybe caused by another update, I can't say as I don't use it.

KB2574819 (DTLS) must be installed before KB2592687 (RDP 8.0), maybe the error was because you have inversed the order, or maybe because a reboot is necessary between the two installations. About a year ago, when the updates were released, I and others also had the problem of the installer running too early when we tried to integrate both, but I never encountered again with KB2574819 integrated and KB2592687 installed at RunOnce (always installed after VC++ Runtimes BTW). If you install only requested updates (GDR), there is five (four for x86) updates who must be installed at RunOnce: - KB931125 (rootsupd.exe) - KB976002 - KB2533552 - KB2592687 - KB2603229 (x64 only) You can see this topic for GDR only packs. I believe there is more if you use McRip repository. KB2574819-v2 is out by the way.

KB2574819 can be integrated & KB2592687 should be installed at first boot (add it in the silent install+sfx tab)

And also the install size will be bigger, because all updates, even integrated, are still uninstallable. (backup of different files versions in Winsxs folder). Integration time will be also much much longer. Maybe they are also other side effects that I not aware of. (install time? performance?) Personally, I don't see the point to integrate so much updates, for me the less I integrate updates, the better it is, especially because of the point mentioned above. (XP was different, update packs replace completely the files updated with no backups). So the better option to me is to integrate only updates requested by Windows Update (GDR updates), and eventually some LDR updates that you KNOW they will be useful to your system. (I'm not aware of any of these). Two options to retrieve GDR updates: these updates lists by steven4554 or these updates packs maintained by me. .Net 4.0 and .Net 4.5 have slimmed and up to date installers, thanks to ricktendo.

So they want us to believe that Windows 7 is not affected ? I call that bull****, maybe the backdoor is not the same (not in TPM), but I'm sure the USA (and MS) have full access to any Windows computer. The backdoor can even be implemented in the CPU ( AMD and Intel are US companies after all), so it is maybe in every computer that is connected to the Net.
