Great news everybody! Here’s some news that has absolutely nothing to do with Black Friday, Cyber Week, or any other kind of deal. Today, we’re talking Chrome. More specifically, the last update of 2022 for the Chrome browser for desktop devices. Yesterday, Google officially rolled out Chrome 108 for Windows, macOS, and Linux. The next update won’t arrive until the second week of 2023 and while there isn’t a lot to talk about, 108 has some nifty new features you should know about. So, here’s what’s new in Chrome 108.
Sharper Emojis
Chrome 98 introduced support for COLRv1 Color Gradient Vector Fonts which produce sharper emojis that are more scalable. In Chrome 108, websites will now have the ability to detect if a browser supports COLRv1 and in turn, display crisper emoji images. Sharp.
Battery Saver Mode
Google has been working on some battery and memory-saving features for Chrome and ChromeOS for months and some of those tools have finally appeared in the Stable build of the browser. Still disabled behind a flag, battery saver mode can be set to enable when your device is off charge or when your battery drops below 20%. Once you update to 108, you can enable the flag by pointing your browser to chrome://flags/#battery-saver-mode-available and setting the flag to the enable position. Restart your browser and you’re good to go.

Thank you Unantastbar.

digital john reacted to vmk in WinToolkit version 1.7.0.8 / 1.7.0.9Thank you for taking over WTK project and bringing updates.
But, Silent Installers + SFX doesn't work on windows 10 v1903. I tried integrating same apps on both editions and still they don't install . I don't know correct way but I use 2 editions Home and Pro in single ISO and once apps in Home edition is integrated, I add same ini file with few changes and select Delete Old Installers options. WTK SFX works on 1803 and 1809 w/o issues.
Even Appx removals is buggy on 1809 and 1903. It is shown as removed but once its installed in VM all Appx aren't removed. So, for I'm using NTLite specifically for Appx removals. For integrating updates and drivers, tweaks etc.. I use WTK because its very fast and has less buttons and its very easy too.
Can you add Component Cleanup and Reset Base feature for boot.wim files for all indices 1 and 2? It really trims the obnoxious sizes of 2.1GB to 1.1GB and has drastic reduction in ISO size as well. For now, I keep the images mounted using WTK and run the Reset base of Dism using /Image cmd line.
I'm attaching ini Profile/Presets I used on Win 10 v1903.

digital john reacted to Thiersee in WinToolkit version 1.7.0.8 / 1.7.0.9Hi volks,
the german user unantastbar on win-unattended.de continues the development of WinToolkit version 1.7.0.0 and has released the first new version 1.7.0.1, after Liam changed the program-code to open.
In this version there are some changes for Windows 10, but some for Windows 7 too (have look at pictures)
to move some KBs (not integrable off-line) to "Silent Installers"
and KB4490628 to "Prerequisites"

WinToolkit v1: https://github.com/Legolash2o/WinToolkit_v1
Sorry for the rubbish code for v1. It was written when I first start C# and did not fully know about proper object oriented programming.
The topic for WTK v2 source code can be found here.

digital john reacted to Legolash2o in The Little ThingsThat option only disables it when WinToolkit starts. LOL you must have went literally as soon as you clicked start as it usually prompts immediately. I wanted that message to ALWAYS appear for various reasons when starting AIO.
I will add a 15 second timer, so if it hasn't been clicked within 15 seconds. The message will automatically close.
-
digital john reacted to bphlpt in The Little ThingsIs there a reason why you want to leave your ActiVirus running while you are making your build? Leaving it run really is both risking a build problem and drastically effecting the speed of the build. Just disconnect from the net while the build is being created if your are concerned about temporarily disabling the AV. Or are you saying that Win Toolkit is not able to correctly tell whether your AV is running or not and that is why you un-checked the "Detect AntiVirus"?
Cheers and Regards
-
digital john reacted to ElmerBeFuddled in The Little ThingsEven though I've un-checked the "Detect AntiVirus" button, when I start to make an image it still sends a pop-up 'AntiVirus detected'.
I discovered this mainly when I took the dog out for an hour, when I got back I discovered my image hadn't even started!
