Actually, there are 5 of them (prerequisites). See here.

2.1.2 final is out. Nice find btw. I was using run with arguments, but it isn't updated for a couple of years now. Going to try this one now, after you'll update the current beta. Oh, and maybe you'll consider making it a silent installer, as I'll also use it under xp. If not, no biggy, I'll test this method as I always said I'll look for an opportunity to test it.

[REQUEST] Profiles for WTK's Installer
RicaNeaga replied to x23piracy's topic in Win Toolkit Requests
I wasn't thinking from an admin perspective, I was thinking from a ''regular joe's'' perspective, that got this cool windows .iso from another guy, that also has it from another guy, and maybe the final user ''deserves'' to be empowered and select what exactly to install during the first logon. Kels has a cool post-install wizard, maybe it will help you in the meantime, there is a link in the main interface from WinToolkit, named WPIW. PS: 100 installers? That's sick, man... do you work for Microsoft or smth? -
[REQUEST] Profiles for WTK's Installer
RicaNeaga replied to x23piracy's topic in Win Toolkit Requests
Ah, ok, now I understand. I hope. You mean a ''post-install'' during first logon wizard in which the user can select what (which modified version, that serves X purpose) to install. Why not check individually what to install and what not to? I mean let's say you have 10 silent installers that's supposed to be installed during first logon. Why not a checkbox before install (optional, by default it shouldn't appear, only if the ADVANCED user selects it from AIO options, and let's the user select which silent addons to run and which not)? I think it's simpler with a checkbox, both from a final user point of view (why decide for him which is best for let's say ''enterprise'' use, maybe he also wants smth else that isn't in the ''enterprise'' profile), both probably coding-wise from Lego. Just an idea, sorry if you don't like it, but YEA, I like what you're saying. I'm thinking mainly for ''public'' modified .iso's, when the person who made the .isos isn't the same person as the one supervising the install. -
Yep, but this involves that windows either has some native drivers for the video card (older video cards, that came out before for ex. windows 7 came out), or you slipstream yourself those newer video drivers. I for one never slipstreamed video drivers in any modified windows .iso, as those video drivers can be pretty tricky, and the ''control panel'' that comes with them isn't just for show in most cases.

[REQUEST] Profiles for WTK's Installer
RicaNeaga replied to x23piracy's topic in Win Toolkit Requests
Sorry, but how is this different than having different ''last session'' .ini files, named differently, with different configurations? I think it's best you describe your request a little more. -
With real women? Or virtual look-alikes as prizes? Joking... Hope you brought flowers with you! Godspeed!

Option to disable prerequisites in AIO for advanced users
RicaNeaga replied to RicaNeaga's topic in OLD Threads
Again, it's your call. If you think it's futile, and it takes a long time to implement, then it's ok if you don't solve my ''suggestion''. Again, I really would like to have the ability to install IE10 last, and the prerequisites in alphabetical order. No strong reason behing it, so you decide... -
@bphlpt Really my final take on this, don't want to turn it into a debate. It's a good comparison - KUC and DISM. Both are ''closed'' environments now. You can either use them or not; it's ''their way or the highway''. I was reffering to advantages of having direct acces to komm's servers via Win Toolkit vs. implementing it. It would be the best way to have them both, I agree. Also, Lego already gave his opinion on thise a while back. So my first concern was to bring back komm's servers support into Win Toolkit. I asked him via pm and didn't got a reply. I asked him also in another to be more transparent, and since his changelogs aren't always complete, and also since his KB files from his server aren't public, just make a .txt map of his server and keep it updated whenever changes occur. Again, no answer. So now, I found the opportunity to ask ricktendo to do the same as me, to ask him to bring back komm's servers support into Win Toolkit, who's pms hopefully won't be unaswered by komm, but I found myself hit the brickwall of ricktendo's ''broad horizons'' vision and his dedication to the ''KUC cause'' no-matter-what. So, in conclusion, I really hope that komm will make his approach on Microsoft's KB updates more transparent, with at least a .txt map of his server, and hopefully even allow once more Win Toolkit users to download from his servers, and in the meantime I really hope Lego won't encourage his Microsoft-like behaviour (again, his way or the highway). We live in a open-source era, don't we? PS: Hope someone will pinpoint this disscusion to komm - it would be nice to find out his opinion, even through another person.

Option to disable prerequisites in AIO for advanced users
RicaNeaga replied to RicaNeaga's topic in OLD Threads
Thanks for the support, this has now just become a strong suggestion. Seriously, Lego, please give me (and others) a way to install those updates in whatever fashion we want. Another idea - maybe the up/down arrows from AIO's interface can override the prerequisites and allow me to move some prerequisites and IE10 below KB9xxxx and some of the KB2xxxx. Please at least consider it. -
Option to disable prerequisites in AIO for advanced users
RicaNeaga replied to RicaNeaga's topic in OLD Threads
Ok, got your point. Now this request is turning into a suggestion - you can close the thread and move it to the solved area even if you won't solve it. So my suggestion is like this - please consider implementing this with a warning when deselecting the option box - smth like ''DO NOT unselect this. Needed option for correct integration purposes. Uncheck it ONLY if you know what you're doing.'' This can scare begginers from unchecking it, and so they won't have reasons to complain afterwards. I admit I don't have a very strong reason for asking this, only that I don't like installing those updates in that order, but rather in the more ''natural'' Microsoft alphabetical order, with KB9xxx first, then KB2xxx, and only after IE10. And also, I don't like those updates always go to the top, even if IE10 isn't present in the integration queue in AIO. -
(Small) requests regarding IE10 integrability
RicaNeaga replied to RicaNeaga's topic in Win Toolkit Requests
Great. Good you've clarified this. If you can also make the same bahaviour for the .cab / .msu it would be fantastic. This is the only request left, hope it's doable - thread considered closed and solved besides this mention. -
It's not a Win Toolkit problem. KUC servers are permanently offline / hidden for users not using the KUC app, and McRip is currently experiencing problems with his servers.
-
An advanced option for advanced users, so people can integrate updates in whatever fashion they want. I for example prefer to rename IE10 installer and making sure it installs last, while making sure the prerequisites are present, but installed in the ''Microsoft'' special alphabetically order. With the current situation, I'm forced to integrate first the KB2xxxxx prerequisites, then IE10, then the rest of KB9xxxx and KB2xxxxx. Again, I prefer ALL KB9xxxxx first, then ALL KB2xxxxx, and only after all of this IE10. But again, this is an advanced user targeted option, so by default please keep the prerequisites ''activated'' (the current way of doing things is perfect for beginners, with this hopefully small amendment).

Two weird bugs in Addon Maker (latest 1.4.1.10)
RicaNeaga replied to RicaNeaga's topic in Win Toolkit
Ok, I'll also try when on a x64 machine and come back with further feedback. So it's not solvable, since it's a x86-only related issue? -
As I've said here (sorry for beeing offtopic there), please: 1. Implement only the updates found in the official article from Microsoft as IE10 prerequisites. 2. Make a pop-up warning window for novice users when detecting IE10, to make sure all those five updates are also integrated. 2'. Would be very good if this screen won't appear if those updates are also present (redundant warning), but I don't want to complicate things code-wise, this part is only optional.

Two weird bugs in Addon Maker (latest 1.4.1.10)
RicaNeaga replied to RicaNeaga's topic in Win Toolkit
This still isn't solved in that latest build (WinToolkit141-17). You can check the two screenshots provided, and see the difference in the shortcut path (again, NOT an addon issue, but only a displaying issue - the path SHOULD be the same - program files (x86)). The two ~ similar addons in question are uploaded here. Also, I really think it's a strong possibility to replicate this issue on systems that don't have 7zip installed (as me). Maybe again it's a 7zip dependancy... -
Very arrogant attitude, but again, it's your right.
-
I was suggesting to ''integrate'' the tweaks as silent installers at first logon, when you can replicate a live system situation, and so making them work. myselfidem, I get your point now, wasn't aware of that, hope you are right. In this manner alot of not working tweaks if directly integrated (as they are now) would hopefully work (in the way you describe).

Sorry to be again offtopic, also hope an admin will split the discussion here. @ricktendo I've already given you a reply in my last post, even before you've posted yours. What you are saying is, again, making Win Toolkit dependent on KUC app. And this is bad in my opinion, for a multitude of factors. Also... It's like saying choosing updates is rocket science and we need KUC app to enlighten us all. I disagree again, and I was a supporter for Lego to make presets in his app, so people won't download & integrate everything in komm and McRip's servers (as the situation was in the beginning), but only what a regular user needs. For advanced users there is a possibility to disable that filter in Win Toolkit and show / download all. Right. So (a forced comparison) a Ford car user can go and complain that his car doesn't use a Mercedes engine, but I cannot be unhappy that after we were able to directly download from KUC servers now we aren't no more (let's say in that forced example that the car buyer used to be able to mount Mercedes engines in the Ford car). Ok, KUC app is more advanced in finding out what updates are needed for the specific task, as probably Mercedes engines are better than Ford's, but once again I don't see why you cannot go to komm and ask him to let again Win Toolkit users download directly from his servers. As is komm's right to do what he wants with his server, it's also an advanced user's right to be short-sighted (and think that what he knows should also be known by novices), it's also your ''right'' to be a KUC app fanboy, and it's also my ''right'' to be a Win Toolkit fanboy and ''strive'' to suggest ways of making it better while not making it dependent on other apps. Also, last post from me on this matter, really a sterile conversation, as we're only ''supporters'' of the apps brought into the discussion, and not their developers.

Very complicated stuff. Wouldn't transforming a .reg file into a silent .exe and adding it to the silent installers sections in AIO, and then running it at first boot, woudn't this way solve the matter here more elegantly since the tweak he says that it works on live systems? To transform a .reg into a silent .exe please use this app - just drag&drop the .reg file over the .exe inside the archive of that portable app, and it will transform that .reg into a .exe.

Sorry, haven't been around lately... so is this solved in the latest build? Going to check this also tommorow probably...
