  1. I'll start with the official link - here. Hopefully I'll come back later with direct-to-Microsoft-servers links, as computerbase.de already has access to such direct links for the german versions. Enjoy it if you can... Nevermind my previous post, you can get the english ISOs from here (Microsoft servers). Also the ISOs for other languages are posted below. EDIT: Apparently Microsoft say you need a serial key, and they recommend everyone to use: TK8TP-9JN6P-7X7WW-RFFTV-B7QPF
  2. Got it from here (that has this article as a source). Made it into a thread because of its significance for power users. Seems like the days when a few (idiotic) people from Microsoft are behind key-decision-making are sadly back. A move like this also is making me remember of the vista days, when end-users were the least worry Microsoft had, and bloatware features were embelmatic for their thinking. We'll find out tommorow, from early-reviewers, as the rc will be live today. LE: You can remove that tweak for windows 8 from WinToolkit now, Lego
  3. Yes, I've seen it also today. It should have been there a long time ago, since it's kinda unique. Congrats and keep up the good work Lego!
  4. @compstuff Think you've got me wrong - I didn't mean those installers that were made silent (with let's say SFXMaker) prior to adding them to WinToolkit, I meant those that needed a silent switch / syntax, and you have to introduce that switch manually in WinToolkit, as Lego mentioned at no. 3. For me, the answers are: 1. YES; 2. NO; 3. Don't know, don't have any. But compstuff does, as I see from that list posted (mscodecpack, mbam etc). Curious for the answer LE: For oguz the answer to 3 is NO, as I can see here.
  5. Just out of curiosity: those installers made silent by switches through WinToolkit... were they installed, or skipped? Thanks
  6. Hope you'll consider also making a silent switch for all the runtimes (old and new - B/C++) except F# and J#. Thanks LE: And please take a look at this error here. I got a similat error for your silverlight installer, which hopefully you've solved, however I didn't encounter any problem with this one.
  7. Yes, I also added that WinKit_RunOnceLog.txt file you wanted, but I don't think it helps much. Sorry.
  8. Hope you haven't missed my previous reply. Hope it helps a little... And thanks for stating that about version 18, I was ready to try again with v18... that's ok, v19 FTW
  9. Uploaded that one also. The thing that happens is that all those .msu pathes are showing up in the RunOnce interface, but on fastforward - in a matter of 1-2 seconds all. So clearly they're not beeing installed. It's a weird issue, hope you'll figure it out soon LE: And yes, silent installers are installing just fine, but keep in mind I made them silent BEFORE adding them in WinToolkit, and NOT by switches through WinToolkit. WinKit_RunOnceLog.txt
  10. Attached. I found two directories named WinToolkit in the hives mounted, I've loaded them both (they're the same regarding silent installers however). Still awaiting your confirmation that this is what you wanted, I think 99% it is. LE: Once again, my problem is that only the first .msu (no. 13 from that list) is installed, the other four (14-17) are not. As you can see all my silent installers are already made silent before adding them to WinToolkit, however from what I've read here other are having issues with installers that are made silent with switches in your app. 0.reg 1.reg
  11. Sorry I missed your request earlier Legolash. Do you want me to do this on the already done image, or you want me to repeat the process again? I do have now an image made with version 17, with the bugs mentioned above...
  12. Hope you don't mind I insist on the subject, but today I had to install windows on another computer, and I changed your installer (made it silent with the /qb /norestart switch) with the official ms silverlight installer (made it silent with the /q /noupdate switch), and everything was ok. So it's not a W7T error. Maybe the .msi is set to admin or smth else... just asking. I'd really like to use your installer instead of the official one
  13. RicaNeaga replied to Legolash2o's post in a topic in Win Toolkit
Welcome back! Hope your grades are the same as W7T, and that of course means A+
  14. I can confirm that in version 17 unless the installers are already made silent, with other software like SFXMaker 1.3, the installers won't run during first logon. Fortunately for me I made all the installers switchless, however the .msu's weren't, so those .msu's weren't installed.
  15. I got a weird error for this one, after making it silent, during W7T first-boot install, something like another installer is running at the same time. I tried it again on the installed windows, and everything was ok. I used the usual .msi silent switch /qb /norestart with SFXMaker 1.3. I don't think it's a W7T problem, since all the other silent / switchless ones (flash, java, shockwave, etc) installed just fine.
  16. One hopefully small request - please make a silent switch when you'll have the time to revise the package, so the F# and the J# aren't installed, but everything else is. Motivation: even the most advanced users will need all the old and new vb/vc runtimes, but ONLY programmers / soft devs will need those F/J sharp tools (not to mention J# is discontinued). I know I can make my own custom installer with the tools you provided, but my request I think welcomes the needs for vb/vc runtimes of 99,99% windows users out there.

Extra info for my wish (''request'') regarding QuickTime 7.7.2.80.56 - it needs five changes to make it less annoying for those who aren't very attentive to the setup process. More precisely, three changes to the install process (unchecked the desktop shortcuts, unchecked the go pro pop-up screen after the install process and unchecked the box for search updates for apple software by default), and two regarding the installed software (the quicktime task - QTTask.exe - removed from startup, and the ''check for updates automatically'' unchecked from the update tab in the quicktime preferences - it's still checked although I manifested the same wish during setup... typically Apple). Hopefully these are all the changes needed to stop Apple from connecting to its servers without my knowledge. Of course an updated QT Lite would be fantastic, since I don't think anyone reading this post (advanced users) uses the quicktime player, they just need the quicktime browser extensions, but as I've said it seems QT Lite won't be updated no more...
  18. Is anyone else getting this error? I cannot install the x64 version... I only wanted to see if it works and uninstalled first the old version of this software from my pc. Weird.

A tweaked installer for QuickTime 7.7.2.80.56 would be fantastic, as unfortunately qtlite isn't developed anymore
  20. Fantastic installer for old timers Please update the description with what's inside when you'll have the time. Thanks!
  21. Only two questions... why also shockwave 10? Is version 10 contained by the latest Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6.5.635 official build? Thanks.
  22. Great new sub-forum and installers! Great job again! Thanks a million! One question though... are you absolutely sure that Adobe Reader and other third-party software (non-Microsoft ones) will have no glitches when running with newer vc++ runtimes? Maybe they're built and fully-tested with that older versions... just a supposition, that's why I ask...
  23. Actually as of a few days, java 6 isn't recommended by java main site no more. I used to install version 6 only (as it was the only version downloadable from java.com in the past), but since things have changed I think a version 7 (update 4) only is the way to go.
  24. Great! Hoping you'll upload version 17 soon
