  1. Another factor you should not forget on low-end computer: CPU must work a lot faster as in normal case, temp goes high and cooling may getting a problem. On my computer, for example, I got the CPU to 40-60 % on all 4 cores and temp of 42-44° by using HDD; using SSD the CPU goes t0 100% on all 4 cores and temp to 53-54°. OK, the temps are not so dangerous, but sometimes it beeps, that temps are going to high. MfG, Thiersee
  2. Please, have a look to this thread, may be you get the answer. Regards, Thiersee
  3. Do you copy the disk in a folder? Regards, Thiersee
  4. Just one comment to this AddOn: you don't really need it, you get the same result with two tweaks in WinToolkit. MfG, Thiersee
  5. You can put the IE9-File somewhere, for example in the same folder of Wintoolkit-executable, but NOT in the update-folder.
  6. Sorry for asking, but Why do you need an .msu-file for IE9? You can integrate IE9 also as .exe! Regards, Thiersee
  7. /passive /norestart is working 100% for KB2742595; for the others: no idea. But you don't need to build an extra silent-install, you can put the parameter (switches) in WinToolkit. Regards, Thiersee
  8. NO, ICH10( R) is only SATAII. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_ICH
  9. I have a small problem understanding the terms "Prerequisite" (WinToolkit) and "supersedes" MS-Bullettin. What does it mean exactly, when WinToolkit puts an update under "Prerequisite"? Means, it is necessary for other updates? I ask this, because KB2731771 has been put as "Prerequisite" by WinToolkit and MS says KB2726535 supersedes KB2731771; same behavior for KB2533623 If I look for "supersede" in the dictionary the meaning is "replace". Have a nice weekend. Thiersee
  10. ICH10 IS SATA II! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I/O_Controller_Hub Thiersee

  16. I assume the OP has a COA on his old Dell-machine; anyway he has an OEM-disk (not Dell-recovery) and he will need the key too. Regards, Thiersee
  17. Within Wintoolkit you can download a fresh and untouched ISO of Windows 7 and use this. Regards, Thiersee P.S.: Happy New Year! :fun: :beerchug:
  18. For such huge files it would be nice to have an option to stop/retrieve downloading, otherwise there is only a chanche: stop WinToolkit in task-manager... Regards and Happy New Year! Thiersee

  20. Right, but if I need a patch I didn't choose before, I have to scroll the complete list and pay attention for the date.
  21. I'm using IE9 and KB2761465 has been integrated without problems. The problem could be that the official update KB2761465 is not for IE10 under Win7, look here. P.S.: Grüß dich, Daniel :welcome:
  22. Hi, would be possible to sort (up/down) the columns under "Update Catalog"? It would be useful to see immediately the actual updates. TNX, Thiersee
  23. Now, of course, the 1 Million $ question : which differences are between 1.4.1.1 and 1.5.0_Test39? The content of tab "About" seems to be the same for both... Regards, Thiersee P.S.: welcome back, Liam!
  24. KB2533552: WTK puts this one under Silent-Installer-SFX; this patch is present under Windows-Update, even if it has been already installed. KB2592687: WTK puts this one under Silent-Installer-SFX; for this patch to install you need KB2574819 installed (WTK puts this one in the prerequisite). KB2603229: WTK puts this one under Silent-Installer-SFX. Regards, Thiersee
