You are wrong, I only asked for the difference between integrating in the install.wim or boot.wim.
-
Why? Only to have the possibility to boot from USB3 ? No, thanks.
-
Of course, but not the Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H (USB3-Controller on-board NOT on-chip!).
-
What do you mean?
-
No chance, mainboard CAN NOT boot USB3-Medium.
-
I have an USB 3.0-Stick, but my mainboard can not boot from USB 3, so I boot from USB2. Thanks you too. Thread can be closed.
-
Thanks a lot for the explanation!
-
I'm only wondering because all my drivers are in the install.wim and all the options in AIO to integrate drivers in the boot.wim are unchecked! My USB-Install is working without problems.

Hi, what is the difference between driver-integration in install.wim or boot.wim? Can somebody give me an explanation? Thanks, Thiersee

Error message after the first reboot of the windows installer
Thiersee replied to feeliks83's topic in Win Toolkit
The Mount-Folder will be automatically deleted by exiting WinToolkit. If WinToolkit crashes a corrupted image remains in the mount-folder: you must unmount/discard the corrupted image. Thiersee -

My questions and doubt from Post #23 are the same! I think you try to integrate too much at the same time and for HW you can't have in a single computer! Please, attach such long files not as "code" but as file, it's better to scroll and read. Tnx. Thiersee -

My way is to call windows-update; if there is nothing to do... Thiersee -
Sorry for giving bad news again! During integrating of every AddOn I get this error message I have 5 addOn in my preset-file #Addons E:\ServicePacks-Install\Win_7\Windows_7_Toolkit\Reapers_Arcade_Classic_Pack_5.10_x64_Windows7_AddOn.WA E:\ServicePacks-Install\Win_7\Windows_7_Toolkit\Reapers_Microsoft_3D_Pinball_5.1.2600.5512_x64_Windows7_AddOn.WA E:\ServicePacks-Install\Win_7\Windows_7_Toolkit\Reapers.Prime95.27.7.1.0.x64.Windows7.or.8.AddOn.WA E:\ServicePacks-Install\Win_7\Windows_7_Toolkit\Reapers.Core.Temp.1.0.RC3.x64.Windows7.or.8.Control.Panel.AddOn.WA E:\ServicePacks-Install\Win_7\Windows_7_Toolkit\Reapers.Cpu.Z.1.61.3.x64.Windows7.or.8.Control.Panel.AddOn.WA I reproduced the error: 1st integration, v63: error 2nd integration v62: no error 3rd integration v63: same error again I used every time a fresh ISO and the same preset-file. Error message after the first reboot of the windows installer
Thiersee replied to feeliks83's topic in Win Toolkit
My intention too at the beginning with WinToolkit and Win7, but I did leave this idea because there is a lot of thing I don't need and I didn't exactly what I have to do... With WinFuture Update Pack I had some problems. No, I extract it and eliminate a couple of patches, that not make sense to integrate and let WTK integrate the single patches. No, those in your post #6; oem0.inf and oem1.inf are being added by WinToolkit during integration. Me too, but adapted to my HW and necessity. Ich auch. Me too. AMD). I don't know which grafik card you have, but be careful: WinToolkit can't handle compressed driver such AMD. And last but not least: ich verwende immer eine "jungfreuliche" (naja, halt ohne ei.cfg) ISO für jeden Test und installiere nicht in einer VM zum Testen, sondern auf einere eSATA-Platte; eine AutoUnattend.xml verwende ich auch. I use ALWAYS a new ISO (without ei.cfg) for my tests and do not install in a VM to test, I install on an external eSATA HD with AutoUnattend.xml. If you have questions on single topics in my .INI, feel free to ask. Regards P.S.: Wofür verwendest du Daemon Tools Lite? Zum ISO-Mounten? m.E. ist VirtualCloneDrive besser. What are you using DaemonTools Lite for? To Mount ISO? My opinion: VirtualCloneDrive is better. -

I know, but the hint was for feeliks83 (he's using german ISOs). -

Now in english: 1) Why do you integrate all the patches, also the optional? With .ISO X17-59885 (with SP1) and Update-Pack from Dr.Windows works WinToolkit without problems! Patch KB976902 is for Windows 7 BEFORE SP1 (have a look at patch-info.de, sorry is only in german). 2) In your .INI-File are a huge list of driver, for Vista and Windows 7, for ATI/AMD and NVIDIA, für Audio-Xonar and Audio-Realtek, and and and... I integrate the update-pack from Dr.Windows, a couple of patches for .NET-Framework and driver only for my hardware; after the installation I start windows-update and I get exactly only 3 new update; I don't neer to integrate this tree update, because it would be loaded again by windows-update. If you want I can give you my preset-file, no problem. Regards, Thiersee P.S.: sorry for my english, is not so good anymore, as twenty years ago. -
Sorry for giving you trouble again! I downloaded v61 and had again the same error, as sometime in the past: Program seems to be OK, because the AutoUnattend.xml is OK.
-
Thanks, it isnot really necessary, if it does not causes problem on install.
-
I tried the AutoUnattend.xml-Generator after a long time I didn' use it and I found an error in the section "WindowsPE/Windows-Setup/UserData" of the generated xml-file: This error causes this one if I load the generated AutoUnattend.xml in WAIK The two red/bold ProductKey should be Key; if I replace those two word with "key" the error isn't coming up. Just a question about the AutoUnattend-Generator. In earlier version was possible to choose the architectur: is this feature not possible anymore? Regards P.S.: the Key is the default one from MS.

No, I mean the "Location"-column in every tab. I tought, there are more but it's only one.
-
Only column-width is missing.
-
Not really ! Better the automatic column-width....
-
OK, no problem!
