How to use WPI in Windows 7 DVD?
Thiersee replied to Sumondatta's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
You answer to a post 9 years old! The link is not damaged, the site doesn't exist anymore! -
Win 7 and Office 2007/2010 currently unavailable
Thiersee replied to Jan Krohn's topic in Windows ISO Downloader
You can follow the instructions in my post from Dec 29th or from here. -

I suggest you to be very fast and download today, the links expire tomorrow at 08:00 AM! I f you need Win7 Professional you can delete the file ei.cfg, then you have the choice for all the versions: 1) in WinToolkit there is an option to delete it or 2) if you install with an USB-Flash-drive you can go into <your drive>\sources" and delete the ei.cfg or 3) you can use the ei.cfg_removal_utility directly on the ISO.

Professional is no more available since 22/12/2017! For that reason I wrote "Ultimate". Which language do you need? I tried x64 English, German and Italian an they work. If you choose "Windows (Final)", "Windows 7 SP1 (Build 7601)", "Windows Ultimate SP1", Your Language & the arch (x64 or x86) click on "Download": you should be asked where to save in or the download starts automatically.

If you are in a hurry and need W7 quickly, can you try here: some files are still available until 28 of january (W7 SP1 Ultimate, (m)any languages). @Jan Krohn Sorry for giving a competitor's link !

KB2952664 is a prerequisite for the installation of KB3150513, have a look here, so if KB2952664 has been masked out... @icare If I remember well, I had requests (Older patches) from WU if KB4040980 has not been installed; anyway I'll do a new test without this KB. BTW: what is MU? Is the same as WU?

Hi Jan, sorry, but which sub-forum would you propose for the update-lists? This matter exists since 2014 as @rhahgleuhargh continued the work of @mooms if I remember well and it was from the beginning in French and English. Sometimes I got an admonishment, because I answered in Italian and English to an Italian User and appended the translation in English: I was told the admitted language is French, but English is permitted too, if the user does not speak French.

@pennsylvaniaron My older AMD-CPU is a Turion X2 64bit (2007! ): with this CPU I must use dec-UL (without KB4056894), otherwise windows does not start anymore! With the next older CPU (AM3 Phenom II, all 4 cores enabled) no problem. With FM2/FM2+ no problems too. About the reg-patch: it is related to the antivirus you are using; if you use MicrosoftSecurityEssential this reg-key is present in the registry after installing MSE.

Which shortcut? And what is the purpose of the 2nd batch?

The Java-Maker works with 9.0.4 too; I didn't install it.
-
@mooms Java 9.0.4 released! You get the x64-version directly here after accepting the license agreement; to get the x86-version don't close the browser or leave the site; copy the x64-URL instead, put it into the address line and modify x64 in x86 in the URL. BTW: Happy New Year!

There is a fix from MS for the problem on older AMD-CPU not starting Windows. But how can I install the fix, if Windows does not start? KB4073578 The only way I see in WTK ist to put it under "Silent Installers", anyway after KB4056894, or not? BTW: I installed yesterday Win7 HP x86 on my very old Laptop (Turion 64 X2): the REG-Key is present in the registry, but WU does NOT ask for KB4056894!

@rhahgleuhargh I'm back with my results: installed: HomePremium x86 DE (VirtualBox) Professional x64 DE (Test-HW with NVMe), x64 IT (VirtualBox) Working OS is Win7 Prof, HW is AMD A10-7850K (FM2+) on a G1.Sniper A88X with 32GB RAM. Using WTK 160.1 I made for all a fresh ISO with the UL 12.12 and ConvenienceRollup-set, added KB4056894 & KB4054998, deleted KB4054518 (corresponds to UL 09.01); then I made an install-ISO with OS and WPI (for my installers); WPI hides first some patches (telemetry.exe) then installs TeamViewer and MSE; the other installers are not important! Just after MSE has been installed and WPI continues with the other programs, I open the registry and have a look for the reg-key Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\QualityCompat] "cadca5fe-87d3-4b96-b7fb-a231484277cc"=dword:00000000 the key is already present (but not before MSE is installed)! After WPI has finished his job and reboots I search for updates: no updates requested, NOTHING (unlike what I wrote in my post on last wednesday and you yesterday ), only MRT, definitions for MSE (if available) and eventually NET-FW updates! A deep clean uninstalls, as usual, KB2534111. If I install with the UL 12.12 and the previous version of the NET-FW-Repack, WU asks for KB4056894 and KB4055532 (KB4055002 & KB4054998). Curious note: after this install (UL 12.12) IE under "Windows Start/Programs" was orange/yellow like for a new installed program. Do you think MS has already corrected WU ?
