Hi I´ve just tested 1501_test16. The bug with "HOSTS" has changed with funny result. After Setup has finished there is a folder "%Systemdrive%\windows\system32\drivers\etc\" with the added "HOSTS" in it on Drive C:! Sorry, its not solved.

Hi Found a little bug in 150-1_test4 All in One Integrator - Advanced - Files. I was not able to add "Hosts" File. Trying to save this "Save to: %SystemDrive%\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\HOSTS" the App shows the Message "Add a File name and Extension to Save to Path". With 140xx this Problem did not exist.

Windows 7 Toolkit v1.4.0.x Feedback / Issues / Bugs

Theres a bug processing notepad.wa. With 14045 there is no problem, with 14065/66 the files are installed at there right place, but no registry entries, so the builtin Editor isn´t disabled. -
Hi There is a bug processing notepad2.wa in 140-65 with W7 pro SP1 x86. After installing a system the folder "notepad2" and the files are at there place in x:\Program Files\... but there are no registry entries about notepad2. Using Editor starts the builtin Editor, not notepad2. I´ve made a test with 140-45 and there is all ok. It seems that something is going wrong from 140-45 to 140-65. :type:

For me? Yes, Sir it worked.

@ lego :icon_cool: With vtest2 it is the same as v14017. During the setup screen "preparing Desktop" the screen changed to "Winkit installer" processing 3/3 directX. All 3 Silent installers are listed in Wintoolkitlog, all files are at there place. :prop:
-
v14021 first run: Wintookit prepared the Installsource as always. After finishing the Prompt for Silent installs shows 3 Files, first kb 23......, second Visualc++.exe, third directX.exe. Installation went without problems. Wintoolkitlog shows only Kb23.... as installed. No registry entry about Wintoolkit under HKLM\software. v14021 second run: Same preset and processing. Only the silent installs for both .exe were renewed with unticked boxes, following your adwise. Installation without any prompt. Wintoolkit shows only kb23..... as installed. No registry entry. So the Bug is always existent.
-
With v14017 I see the Installer screen processing directx. v14020 shows nothing for me.
-
OK, here it is. FYI, the .reg and the Log.txt are from an installation with v14020. WinKit_RunOnceLog.txt
-
Hi Here is mine. wintoolkit.reg
-
With v14020 Winkit runonce.exe is 4.6.0.0, with v14017 Winkit runonce.exe is 4.5.0.0.
-
Thanks for your answer. First i use a selfcreated sfx installer for directx (directx.exe /silent). The other is a visual C++ Aio, builded by Dimpel @ Winlite Board, also silent. As I discribed, with 14017 no problem. The 2 *.exe are not listed in Winkit_RunonceLog. Only Kb23..... is shown as installed.
-
It´s bad, but theres a bug processing silent installers. With v14017 there was no problem with 2 *.exe, which are silent. With v14020 these 2 *.exe are not installed.

Here you can find 140-12

@ ricktendo64 Thanks for the explanation. rootsupdate is deleted. I extracted the cabs. Tomorrow i start a new series of tests. But...... it´s strange that normal installer commands give a errormessage, a day and Version before they worked without problems.

Hi 140-13 - Customized W7 SP1 Pro with Files added under Silent installer: windows update agent x86.exe /quiet /norestar/wuforce and rootsupdate.exe /q:a /r:n. Testinstall and realinstallation without any Problems. 140-15 - Same OS and Files (using the .ini from 140-13). Testinstall 1: After bootup to Desktop Winkit Runonce installer quits the installation of Windows update agent with message about wrong installoptions. Testinstall 2: Corrected installoptions following the Message from former Install. Same message: Wrong Installoptions Testinstall 3: All files fresh downloaded. Installoptions for agent set to /quiet /norestart. Same message: Wrong Installoptions. I think there is a problem in Winkit Runoncesektion.
