    If you laptop came with 8.0 serial in bios and you are installing 8.1 setup will fail to read/apply it. Also if you get that same serial from your bios and add it to a autounattend.xml it will fail, what you need to do is use ei.cfg to skip the serial prompt and find another way to apply the 8.0 serial to your 8.1 image (I use dism to inject mine)

    AFAIK you could never install over an old version, and those settings are stored in a config file in your %appdata%\Skype\<username> folder (no way for me to tweak much settings)

    Just removing the old runtimes breaks msp update, my hidemenu.js copies fine on win8.1 and works fine to hide the menu's

    No, not silent installer... You would have to put it in a svcpack folder and make a entries.ini with the silent swithces and zip

    Well its not a repack, but its a all in one sptd... It quietly installs the correct version depending on what architecture your are running it on You will find it in my daemon tools repack http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/12555-repak-daemon-tools-lite-4491356/

    Its not an update its a language pack, use the INTL version which includes the language pack for your language Windows
