No I have it already, the media center in XP MCE SP3 OEM MSDN is the 2004 version SP3 and the 2005 Media Center have nothing to do with each other, believe it or not this addon IS! as updated as it can get...Its taken from a Windows XP Media Center 2005 Edition with SP2 integrated then SP3 installed on it and this Media Center addon you see right here is what you get You can verify what I say by installing XP MCE 2005 with SP2, update rollup 2 & the other hotfixes I list on the 1st page and XP SP3 Once installed save the ehome folder from it Then integrate & install my addon into regular XP SP3 and take the ehome folder from that Use Beyond Compare to check the two folder's files side by side and you will see no difference Edit: The reason for this Microsoft lazyness is the 2005 Media Center requires WMP10 and .NET Framework 1.1 sp1 neither of which SP3 updates or adds, here are some screenshots:

No its telling you to install alky...it checks for a reg entry and if its not detected it will warn you to re-install alky for applications

DAM! there was a turkish mui in there, its fixed now BTW if you want to fix this without the need to re-install you can download the new addon & extract miguires.mui then rename it to miguires.dll.mui and copy it to \WINDOWS\system32\usmt\en-US

I dont think that the star a.k.a. asterisk (*) flag will work with RD but with DIR /B it will make a detailed list of all the 7z*.tmp and it will delete them one by one FOR /F %%I IN ('DIR /B "%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Documents and Settings\Default User\7z*.tmp"') DO RD /S /Q "%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Documents and Settings\Default User\%%I"

Si lo unico diferente es el sereal o el teclado pues en la seccion de desatendido de nLite deje esos cuadron en blanco, asi puedes entrar uno distinto para cada PC. Lo unico que hace el updatepack es actualizar los archivos en tu CD y agrega IE7 Y WMP11 (mas informacion)

Funciona en ambos XP Prof y Home, no...no se puede instalar post install. El UpdatePack es como un service pack no official pero solo se puede integrar con nLite No tienes que hacer tu Windows desatendido, puedes dejar ese seccion en blanco y te garantizo una vez que haces to XP con el updatepack no volveras a hacerlo sin el...checkear en microsoft update y tener cero actualizaciones nesesarias despues de tu primer inicio es lo maximo Sabes que el updatepack no toma mucho mas espacio, reemplaza muchos archivos viejos y peligrosos que existem en i386 ahorrando espacio

No hover, Alky can only patch it to use one of the skins in sidebar.exe By default it uses the solid black one (aero always on top)

You cannot patch ehshell.exe without having trouble, if you have patched it with a Vista icon or something run this utility with the following command sn.exe -Vr ehshell.exe Do the same if you moddified RegisterMCEApp.exe sn.exe -Vr RegisterMCEApp.exe

Make sure you have IE7 installed and you can run these commands from a cmd window or run to re-register the sidebar files in case they did not register successfully "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe" /RegServer "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\.\regsvr32.exe" sbdrop.dll "%ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\.\regsvr32.exe" wlsrvc.dll

You can switch the names DefaultUninstall <-> DefaultInstall and right click the inf and choose Install and the opposite of what happened first will happen second

Very common bug the 2002 version issue, you can view the Media Center version in the about of the Media Center The Media Center runs in VMware, it will warn you saying your Video card is not compatible with Media Center but it will still run. You wont be able to play videos either in a VM...Dancer also will not be able to detect music in a VM But once you have it on your REAL PC and not a Virtual all will work
