Ive never thought to try this but am unsure this will work...Anyway just go to that place in the registry and do a search (CTRL+F) for DefaultIcon and maybe make a list of wich "CLSID's" have a DefaultIcon and see if you can change them using a .theme file RegEdit.exe HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ Edit: No, I tried it with .CAB files and it did not work
