  1. Arg!!!... Thats probably because I used Quick Batch File converter to make a simple exe from a batch file, the reason is to make it compatible with ViStart. Its a FALSE positive, but you can use the original if you want to use it still. Its only a .ico file and some reg entries. Updating now
  2. I use a Windows XP Gold slipstreamed with SP2 But I have a Windows XP with SP1 and SP2 and I notice no difference in speed.
  3. Here are some vista sounds you can install http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=442 Just extract the addon and run the silent installer in the svcpack folder

  6. Kel uses everything, he has to because of testing and WPI
  7. You can prolly fix this by editing the icons in shell32.dll (edit/remove the 16 bit icons from the .ico file)
  8. Kewls I forgot about this one.
  9. Unmodified version http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=1516
  10. I do not uninstall any fonts, I leave them behind dun worry OK here is the down low on the 3 sidebars, I never payed much attention to this before... If I empty the sidebar and close all the gadgets and restart the sidebar I have one instance of sidebar.exe Then I open up one gadget I get a second sidebar.exe If I open more than 3 gadgets a third sidebar.exe pops up in my tasmgr So my conclusion is its normal I think its the sidebar running with one of its many parametes example for the CPU gadget it might be running sidebar.exe /detectMem Other Parameters: sidebar.exe /autoRun /AX /CPL /detectMem /showgadgets /uninstallgadgets /RegServer /UnregServer
  11. Yep... IE7 is definitely your problem.
  12. Copy this overwriting the one in Windows Sidebar, then right click on it and choose Patch Vista Executable http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?act...post&id=377
  13. Minor update... Added blank Update Dirs
  14. Have you tried this to fix your gadgets? Gadgets Repair Video Can I see a screenshot?
  15. The Windows Sidebar requires IE7 to correctly show the transparency, you may not need WMP11 but you definitely need IE7
  16. Its probably just missing a .png file (maybe it did not get copied during install or something) Anyway just delete the Shared Gadgets\iWeather.Gadget folder and reinstall it using the original http://gallery.live.com/liveItemDetail.asp...p;bt=1&pl=1 EDIT: I just read you do not have IE7 or WMP11, that is the problem.
  17. Are you using the patched wlsrvc.dll?
  18. Updated Windows Sidebar addon see changelog... Not important for you who integrate it with nLite only for the manual installers, I have improved the install by 1000% percent (I use a i386 trick by Mitsuko Aninikkou) I created a new video with the new easy peasy instructions (it will not work anymore for x64 users) Sidebar Install Video
  19. Good luck with the addons and dont be shy to ask
