Hey now that SP3 beta was leaked was thinking of making a personal updatepack a la RyanVM But I need your help, what hotfixes do I include? I'm talking unofficial hotfixes and other updates such as MSXML 4, 5 & 6 plus other special non critical hotfixes If you have SP3 and want a updatepack please help me by posting KBxxxxxxx links to any other updates you want included.

Are you sure its the sidebar... I have the same problem but its ViStart causing it. BTW what do you use to make the icons bigger, nLite or a 3rd party app? Off Topic: Moved topic to AddOn discussion

It varies what files need translating but usually the .XML, .HTML and .JS files are the ones you edit.

Thanks Spiderman did not work... But was worth a try. And thanks for the location of the weather settings files. Now I have more files to add to my uninstall script.

ARRG! I just reformatted and now I have the weather gadget bug... (did not have it on the last nLite ISO build, gonna try to figure out why) And en-US gadgets should work on ALL machines no matter what language you have. I have tested this out on spanish XP, en-US gadgets work.

Go to Add or Remove Programs and use the "Change" button to re-register Windows Sidebar

Alky for Apps needs the wlanapi.dll file, it uses it for a different function... If you want you can replace the wlanapi.dll from the wlan hotfix in your lang and remove forcelang=English from Entries_Windows_Sidebar.ini thus making it compatible with your language. Use this BuildCheckSum.rar to find the new build checksum and edit this number in Sidebar.inf (use last 5 numbers)

You need dotNet 3.0 for WSS The sidebar will not load unless you have dotNet 3 (the full 50 + Megabite version) link is in the post

Delete the Windows Sidebar Directory (back up your gadgets), uninstall VAIO then Install Alky and reboot. Install Sidebar AddOn (manual install instructions above) and reboot again.Add your favorite missing backed up gadgets back to the Gadgets or Shared Gadgets folders and done.

Are you on VAIO or Alky? Why don't you use the latest sidebar installer and Alky?
