Im back, PC fan FINALLY!!! arrived...will update this maybe tomorrow

Copy the files in the guid folder (with the most) to the Backup folder in your mounted image (create dir if not exist) When it comes time to install mse it will see these files and make a guid folder similar to where they came from originally and apply them automatically. You may still have to update but it will be a much smaller update that downloads the NIS updates (however you may also be able to copy these to the Backup folder and have them auto-applied)

There is no CAB but there is an EXE installer with the latest definitions. I think I have the FWLINK's listed in my repack for MSE BTW if you want to integrate the updates you can also grab the installed definitions from %programdata%\microsoft\<mse_sub_dir>\{guid} in your current pc and add them to your mounted %programdata%\microsoft\<mse_sub_dir> \updates or \backup (one or the other of these will work) Then when you install mse it will see the updates in programdata and add them automatically (I wanted to do the same with win8 but the folder permissions may not let you)

Dism will integrate a x86 driver into a x64 image (and vice versa) without error, the driver will still be useless. Pnputil will not

If search you will find the command for turning windows 8 pro to pro with mce, just change it a bit (I do not have access to my second hdd at the moment) Mount and update your lowest SKU Export it and give it a new name/description as many times as needed. (the final export, dont need to rename it because it will stay this edition) Now you need to go mount and change the edition to all the exported/renamed images (one by one)

Yes it should be simple, give me a few days to fix my PC and I can make an option (same as my ie icon on desktop tweak) in the folder options for CPL icon on desktop (or use the ie tweak as an example to make the cpl one)

Update: Part still not arrived but post office says a shipment of mail is due today and another tomorrow. Will check Saturday, hopefully it will be in one of them. In the meantime been doing/learning to unlock and flash my Android tablet (OEM too lazy to update the KitKat so I had to learn.)

WOW! did not know your situation was this dire, I personally will never forget all you have done for myself (and others as well.) It was you who got me started back in 06, teaching me to understand INF files...THANK YOU!!! for everything my good friend. Actually this is a brand new installer, normally it would depend if you did not use the /trainswap switch to force install LDR files a hotfix like this would not apply...but Microsoft strangely released a BRAND NEW, updated, LDR only installer (that when I get back up and running will use to replace the GDR/LDR one you link to) and I will redo all my installers using this one For now if you want a slim version of this newer 4.5.1 installer, use 7zip to extract, vbs to slim (then simply install,) admin install (optional,) and repack (optional.)

Real, the x.x.X.x number is different depending on the installer you choose...ignore it, only pay attention to the first two and the last I use the business installer (always version x.x.32.x,) because this one does not install the extra update service or games the others might

You mean imagex, no all you need is imagex.exe (if you are on windows 7 you have dism.exe already installed, just need to extract imagex.exe from waik/adk)

I think there are programs that can mount vmdk but have never tried them. I have tried vmdk to vhd converters, so you can mount the vhd in windows
