Any ideas...?
-
Its not so straightforward as %Programfiles% variable gets processed according to application archidecture, which calls it. As W7Toolkit is 32-bit application it would point to wrong location, always to Program Files(x86) Actually I dont see any reason, why it needs default setting at all, as it heavily depends on archidecture, application and what you actually are trying to create...

They are completely missing...all other Shortcuts are in place only WMP ones are gone. If that tweak isnt used, also WMP icons are where they should be. If it cannot be fixed, maybe you could create "workaround" so Shortcuts are actually re-created? :g:

Any news fixing it?
-
Actually not an best idea, as x64 windows has two Program Files variables so making one of those default isnt really a good choice...

Maybe one new download button, under downloads could be added

[AIO] Microsoft Visual B/C++/F#/J# Redistributable x86/x64
Etz replied to ricktendo's topic in Installer Repacks
Works like a charm...thx... -
I hope that v1.4 stays also available when 1.5 is started, because sometimes things tend to break if new features get added. And sometimes there is a need to do a minor change in wim, which works in old version but may be broken in new one, so we would have a choice at least a short amount of time. So if you try new versiond and it wont work out, as expected you could always report bug, re-download old "stable" build and do your stuff and wait for a fix...

[Solved] windows setup cannot continue due to a damaged file
Etz replied to gersma's topic in Win Toolkit
Yes, it can be done via Unattended.xml and without any sideeffects. Add following to the pass "oobeSystem" <FolderLocations> <ProfilesDirectory>D:\Users</ProfilesDirectory> <ProgramData>D:\ProgramData</ProgramData> </FolderLocations> Also WinToolkit Unnatended creator supports this, so I believe it would be easier to create your XML with it. -
Exactly the same happens. WMP itself is preserved, but all shortcuts referring to it are gone.

Still exists in v .75 :g:

Okay, found culprit, its not related to WinToolkit, but still...wanted to share some useful information. If you run WinToolkit from network drive, as I do, it happens if you using tweak that I propsed, for "Mapped drives" If you have it implemented, always remember to "access" those mapped drive(s) before you run WinToolkit, or there will be "profile" loading issues, as most of youre resources arent available to that machine, youre trying to do the build with As Network drives arent actually mounted yet

Is there a switch present for complete silent installation of those all? -
Actually we as well, may forget about it. As it seems, some software makers, tend sometimes to change structure of their archives...so anyway I always have to extract those...
-
Idea is, use them as they are... Of course I could always extract them, but as long I use different program to keep them always up to date, and downloads new ones as they are published... I always end up, with "original packages" I know how to create archive, hence I can create also Installers... Point, is to make my life (maybe some other guys) lot easier... I dont really like to repackage them, but use them as they are "packaged by manufacturer" already... For example, ASUS drivers/software is always ZIP`ed... As this "other program" downloads them to my HDD (if they are updated on their websites), I would pretty much like to use them as they ar (without any additiona effort)...
-
As this error message it looks like "chinese" for me, at this time, I dont have anything specific to give any hints... sorry...
-
Fired up Win 7 Toolkit today, got an popup that new version is available, clicked yes...and got this: (Multiple times...as long as tried...) Updating manually now EDIT: After downloading (latest .71) manually from mediafire, all works...as it should... (Of course, it is latest..and doesnt want to update himself...)
-
For example I have a lots of software, originally ZIP or RAR archives, which contain actual files + Setup. Would it be possible to add option to add archives as silent Installer? So on install, it would be first extracted and then specified "setup file" executed with specified switches. Only thing that is needed to accomplish this would be minor changes in code and include 7z.exe.

@McRIP thx for clarification, will try it then

But why use ipv6 for this at all? Both those servers dont have ipv6 address, so its basically useless...youu wont see any benefit at all. Also Legolash "logging host" doesnt seem to have direct ipv6 connectivity either... And I really doubt that it would make any sense to fix "Network Configuration" problems on applicartion level... :g: Also I`m pretty certain, it would introduce problems for people, who dont have direct access to ipv6 at all, at least most ISP`s doesnt provide it by default.
